5 out of 5 starsThese earrings are absolutely beautiful! Even more gorgeous in person. And they came packaged so prettily, which I appreciate as they're a gift for a friend. Would definitely buy again from this shop, this time for myself!

About Maillewerks
I Love to Create! Being an Artist is my Passion, My Soul.
I desire for my clients to feel good about wearing the original pieces that they choose from me and it makes me so happy when they let me know!
The techniques I have learned in the decades of being an artist include wire work, bead work, macrame, glassblowing, lampworking, ceramics, metalwork, soldering, sewing, crocheting, leatherwork, claywork, chainmaille, etc. Once I had so many beads & supplies that I HAD to open a bead shop when I lived in Southern California as it served as my studio and a platform for instructing others in the various techniques of jewelry making.
Now I'm back to my Midwestern roots to be near my precious Mother and Brothers. My Dad (RIP) was a hardworking entrepreneur, I looked up to him and his clever ways and I decided to follow in his footsteps but not in the industrial world as he was, I had to follow the beat of my own drum, literally. Since I was 2 years old I had started collecting records, learning instruments and honing my voice, throughout my life my love of music and art became the way I made my most passionate living.
Etsy is a beautiful place to shop for handcrafted and vintage items, it's like an ever-changing, world-encompassing treasure hunt! Thank you for stopping by my chainmaille studio on your fantastic journey around the globe!

Additional policies and FAQs
Please keep your jewelry away from household cleaners. Please do not use jewelry cleaners, cremes, or polishing cloths on your aluminum chainmaille
Please handle your jewelry with care. Chainmaille links are not soldered and therefore can be pulled apart with enough force.
Aluminum will not tarnish like sterling silver, but it will pick up dirt and oils from your skin causing it to become dull. Should you find that your jewelry is not as shiny as it used to be, soak your piece in warm soapy water (only blue dish soap is recommended) for a few minutes to loosen dirt and oils. Then lather it it with gentle dish soap using your fingers. Rinse with warm water and allow to air dry. You may also dry it with a blow dryer set on the cool setting.
Over time, the outer layer of aluminum may corrode slightly. This outer layer of corrosion actually protects the inner layer of aluminum from further corrosion.
Stainless steel is very strong and durable. If it becomes dull just wash with soap and water as described for aluminum.
****How to measure for a bracelet****
Using a soft measuring tape, measure around your wrist bone. Take that measurement and add 1/2 inch to one inch, depending upon how tight fitting you like your bracelets. If you do not have a soft measuring tape, cut a strip of paper, wrap that around your wrist and make a mark where it overlaps. Then lay it straight against a ruler to find your measurement, and add about one inch.
