Handcraeft: a place for makers. 🖤 Traditional making meets modern practice.

Welcome to Handcraeft! I come from a family of sewers and stitchers, and I can't even remember a time in my life when I wasn't excited about sharing handmade goodies, projects and supplies with friends and fellow creative folks. It's in my blood. I remember making friendship pins with seed beads and safety pins for my friends, tethering long strands of embroidery threads to my acid washed jeans to make friendship bracelets with my sisters, painting ceramic unicorns and Christmas decorations. I remember the first wicker basket I received from my mom with needles, thread, plastic canvas and aida cloth. Making is more than just passing time or finding cool trinkets. It's about tradition, making memories, creating community, taking time for yourself, practicing new skills, and passing on something meaningful to your loved ones.

Handcraeft is so near and dear to me, and it's changed over time as my life and interests have evolved. Now that I have a little one who's old enough to make on her own, I take great pleasure in exposing her to different ways of making things and seeing her find joy through the process of making.

All the supplies I offer in my shop are those that I've used and trust myself. My mother owned a quilt store for a decade, and in that time, I learned the value of cultivating trust and good relationships with your patrons. I promise to offer you fair prices, and most importantly, to always provide you kind and thoughtful service.

I'm so happy you've come, and I look forward to sharing my things with you. Thanks for being here! 🖤

Frequently asked questions
Do you offer gift wrapping?

I'm most happy to thoughtfully wrap up your items if your purchase is a gift. Just let me know in the notes when you check out!

Is the buyer responsible for any customs duties and import taxes?

Yes. Depending on what the policy is in your country, and the purchase price of your order, you may be required to pay customs duties and/or import taxes. Seller is not responsible for these fees or delays due to customs holds.

Do you include a printed receipt with shipped items?

I've stopped including printed receipts with shipping. In addition to saving trees and minimizing expenses, I find that it also helps to minimize shipping costs, especially for very lightweight items. If you'd like me to include a printed receipt with your shipped order, I'm happy to do it. Just mention it in the notes when you check out!

Do you include tracking information for all shipped items?

Tracking for most items in the shop is not available because it's so expensive in The Netherlands (€16,95 minimum). In my experience, mail delivery worldwide is very reliable and I've only ever had one item go missing. For large purchases that are sent as parcels, tracking would be included in the price of the postage. It's just not offered by the postal service in The Netherlands for small items.

When will my order arrive?

In my experience, mail delivery worldwide is very reliable. Once I put your package in the mail, we're at the mercy of the mail services in both my country and yours. Depending on where you live, it can take as little as a week, or during busy times, like holidays, can even take 5-6 weeks (that's rare). I'm happy to resend an item that may have gotten lost in the mail or give you a refund. I just ask that you wait at least six weeks until after the original mail date to either resend or refund. Sometimes packages get held up in customs and we just have to wait for it to be released. You are always welcome to contact me with questions or concerns. I want you to be 100% happy with service and products received! Thanks so much!
