Vacation Announcement:
I'm taking time off to spend some quality time with my husband in Hawaii, while we visit his grandmother. (March 28-April 7th. April 8th - 12th we will be in Seattle, giving our families our love before we move across the country!)

I'll be announcing something special on the Facebook page soon, so take a moment to mosey over there and find out what's new!

Recent News:
As of March 2016, I have been accepted into graduate school at East Carolina University! I'll be moving from the Portland, Oregon area to Greenville, North Carolina in May of 2016. This move will take myself, my husband and my jewelry gear across the country. My shop will remain open so you can purchase items that are Ready to Ship! I'll have updates and photos of our trip on Instagram: @handcraftedcaro

Updates

Got these back from their stint at Momo Seattle for consignment. No one loved them enough there to pick them up, but maybe you will?
So we moved to North Carolina!! Today I worked my first market of many: Umbrella Market in Uptown Greenville! I had a lot of interest in my booth and people really loved my work!

About

Girl Makes Art out of Metal; Falls in Love

Carolyn Buss is a Seattle-area studio jewelry artist who has been working in metal for ten years. Drawing from the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, Carolyn creates jewelry and art with strong visual ties to nature, which show in her use of simple yet detailed silhouettes hand-cut from copper sheet. She enjoys using color and mixed metals, employing techniques such as kiln-fired enameling and chasing-and-repousse to bring life to her subject matter. Carolyn received her Bachelors of Fine Arts with specialties in Jewelry and Metalsmithing, Ceramics and Photography in June 2012 from Central Washington University.

Payment
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact me as soon as possible.

Payment is expected within 24 hours of purchase on Etsy. Please pay through PayPal immediately following your transaction. If you have problems figuring out how to pay for your items, please contact me and I will help you out.

Once payment has been received, I will begin creating your jewelry and only when payment has been received will I do so. In the event that I have your item(s) and size(s), I will ship the item(s) according to my shipping policies.

Custom Orders* require a non-refundable deposit. This will be half of the entire purchase price, excluding shipping. Once I have finished creating your piece, I will call or email you in order to let you know that it is finished, thereby alerting you that you must pay the remaining balance. (Note: This does not mean you cannot pay for the entire thing in one go, please, fee free, but let me know so that I may adjust your invoice accordingly.)

*Custom Orders do not include rings which I make to your measurements. (Unless your measurements are either very large or very small. Rings smaller than 4 and larger than 14 are custom.) Custom Orders DO INCLUDE: Necklaces, bracelets, earrings that you and I "invent" through convos, alchemy, email or phone conversations.
Shipping
Generally:
In Stock Items or Ready to Ship items ordered Mon-Thurs, before 4pm (Pacific time) will be shipped the next day. Items ordered after Thursday, 4pm will be shipped the following Monday.

Items that are Made to Order will ship after they have been handmade, just for you! Please allow at least one week, and please check your email and convos. I will usually let you know if I have a special circumstance that needs to be rectified, such as a supply shortage, or missing information.

I ship USPS in a bubble-padded envelope and depending on the item(s) purchased, may include an earring card, a small box and/or a plastic bag, and some extra business cards.

Items will be insured and shipped with tracking information provided via e-mail and through Etsy. Your item will be marked as "Shipped" and there will be a tracking number. Please note it can take up to 48 hours for the tracking number to work!
Refunds and Exchanges
I try to provide pictures whose colors are as close to real life as possible. With that in mind, that is in comparison to my particular monitor. There may be slight color variations between what the picture shows and what you receive. Also, due to the nature of natural stones they all differ on varying levels. Stones of the same composure are not always the same coloring. Please specify whether you would like one of the same in the picture or if you will accept something similar, but uniquely different, and equally beautiful.

Items damaged in transit will be refunded when I receive the damaged goods.

If your ring, necklace or bracelet does not fit you, please call or email me immediately upon receiving it in order to make arrangements for proper sizing.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders are greatly welcomed here. Please convo me with any questions!! I have done lots of custom orders for clients and friends over the years and I love doing it. If you like my work and want me to match something to what you already own, I can do that!
