About

Handmade treasures made by me at my home on the lake

Hi!
My name is Sandy and I am a semi-retired software developer with two grown children. As a new empty-nester, I was searching for things to fulfill me as I transitioned from full time work and full time mom, to the next stage in my life.

I learned to knit and sew at a very young age. My grandmother, who passed away when I was very young, was so good at these skills. As I learned to do them, everyone told me how proud she would have been and how much like her I was. This was probably one of the best compliments I could have gotten and it made me want to get even better.

As the years went by, I made fancy Christmas dresses for my daughter, and cute crafts, and things for my home. I knit a few sweaters, too. But with busy lives and growing kids, I put away my crafts for about 10 years.

Last year I started a blog www.livelovelake.com, to begin to explore my options in my next phase of life. I found so many amazing, talented people through my blog and again, picked up my knitting needles and got out my sewing machine.

Over the last year I have knitted and sewed and blogged about my life at our lake home and now I am taking the next step and offering some of my handmade items for sale.

I hope you see what you like, and stop by often. As this shop is a work in progress, I am adding new items all the time.

Welcome!
