A desire for the simple

Back in 2009-2010 I'd had an urge to create my own soap, so I gave it a go and loved the results. I wanted something that was as natural as could be, with no nasties in it. I sourced fantastic ingredients...organic if possible...and I was off. There’s only so may bars of soap you can use yourself though, so I researched selling it - the journey began.

The bath goodies - salts, bath/body melts, fizzes and scrubs - soon followed. Again, I wanted the ingredients to be natural, with the bare minimum added, but producing amazing results on the body. I love the simplicity of them all.

When I started making the makeup remover pads there were a few others about but they were all made with an overlocker. I didn’t like the edge it produced so I designed mine differently. Years later I have a few different fabric choices, all with organic fabric where available.

I’m passionate about what I do and make, I could talk for hours 😉. I believe that simple is best, and that things should be made to last. I try and use all the fabric scraps to make other bits too...why buy more if I can use up the off-cuts? ☺️

Frequently asked questions
Packaging - Plastic or Paper?

My parcels may not seem as pretty as some, nor do they contain anything that I consider to be unnecessary (freebies are never really free ;) ) as I like to keep my costs, therefore my prices, as low as I can. This also means less waste. Parcels will be sent out in paper envelopes to reduce my plastic usage. If you would prefer that your order is sent out in a plastic mail bag just let me know when you check-out. Re-purposed cardboard boxes are used for larger items. Starch packing peanuts are used. Very, very occasionally plastic padding may be used.

Delivery Times - UK

I state 1-3 days for dispatch. During peak season (the run up to Christmas) this may change to 3-5 days, but I do ship ASAP. I use Royal Mail for deliveries. If any combined order weighs more than 2kg, I would use a courier service. I always get proof of posting. All linens are sent out 1st class. Soaps, scrubs, salts, fizzes, melts, etc are sent out 2nd class (due to the weight and package size). The initial postage cost for the soaps seems high...the good news though, if you purchase more than 1 bar (up to 16 in fact) the postage cost is still the same. Postage upgrades are available - 1st class for the soaps, etc or there's the extra reassurance of a Signed For service. Lost mail claims cannot begin until 10 working days have passed.

Delivery Times - Overseas

Due to the UK leaving the EU, I currently don’t ship to Europe. I am sending to the USA and Australia. Items are sent out using Airmail and I obtain proof of posting. I attach a customs label to your parcel where necessary. For extra reassurance or if you would like a tracking number, you may add the International Tracked and Signed option to your order. Royal Mail states that parcels to the USA and Australia should be 5-7 working days. I have found that those times actually vary from 5 days right up to 18 days. Lost mail claims cannot begin until 25 working days have passed.

Can I buy your soaps if I'm not in the UK?

If you are not in the UK but would like to purchase any of the soaps / fizzes / melts / etc please contact me. As the weight of these are heavy (in terms of postage costs) I haven't added the option for them to be sent overseas, but I am more than willing to send them if you do want them (and your country allows them).

Do you offer free shipping?

Nothing is ever free ☺️. If I ‘hide’ the shipping costs in the item price, then people actually pay more when they purchase more than one item. My shipping costs are fair with additional items charged at a discount.
