About Me

In 2006--7 my first cancer forced me out of the professional world and into Social Security Disability. Unfortunately, Social Security Disability puts you just above the poverty line, keeping you from having anything remotely close to a life. I've been trying to make money to get out through both affiliate marketing and dropshipping cheap jewelry from Aliexpress. Both were big failures, but as always, it's important to learn from our failures. The time spent on Aliexpress taught me more about jewelry, and led me to realize that I could make and sell my own. My early stuff, frankly, while different, wasn't any better. But I've advanced a lot since then, and continue to grow my product line into more interesting products.

One thing that has been a constant: my dedication to making quality products, always thinking about the customer, not worrying about the extra time I spend for that last 1% of quality, or getting rid of any sharp edges.

So here I am, selling my handmade jewelry on Etsy and locally, for now to make enough to help with my monthly budgets, and later, to make my escape from SSD for good.

I am now focusing on two types of products: threader earrings made with 925 sterling silver (no more cheap metals) and natural crystals (no glass or plastic---real crystals). I am also selling bolos (also known as western ties).
I like to use more simple leather, as opposed to braided leather, to be a better fit with the belief that bolos were common in the old west (in reality, they were invented in the early to mid 1900s). I am now, however, switching from flat leather cord to round leather cord, based on a new lack of availability of the correct size of the flat cord.

As I add new products, the older products that are not selling will be removed on a 1:1 basis. The selenite blade pendant earrings will probably be the only one of the older products that remain.

I list my shipping time as 2 to 8 business days. However, unless I need to order supplies to make products for your order (that's where the longer shipping times come into play), I normally ship either the next business day or the second one. Either way, when I get your order, I will contact you and let you know...I don't like being in the dark when I order something, and I won't do that to my customers.

I cannot and will not be dishonest with my customers, so here's how free shipping, which is being forced on all sellers here (those not offering free shipping will be suppressed in search results) really works. Nothing is free. Like virtually all shops here that offer free shipping, it is actually buried in the price. If you had been watching my shop at the right time, you would have seen all of my prices go up at the same time. That was me, applying "free" shipping. It's not honest and it's not fair to anyone, but we aren't given any choice other than to, as mentioned above and the new policy letter, be suppressed in searches; in other words, be effectively shut down if we don't offer it.

At this time, I do not offer returns or refunds. However, if your product arrives damaged, you can contact me within five days of its arrival (based on tracking information) for a return address, send it back to me, and I will do what I have to and either repair it or re-create it and send the final result back to you. You pay the shipping back to me, and I'll cover the shipping back to you. I, of course, do what I can in packaging to make sure that doesn't happen...that your item arrives in great condition, ready for you to enjoy it.

In any situation where a simple refund is the only option, there will be a $10 restocking fee applied to the returned amount. Refunds will only be made after the customer returns the product in the condition in which it was received. Customer is responsible for return shipping prices.
