I bought these in yellow and loved them so much I had to buy another pair! They fit wonderfully, are warm, don't fall off, and are really cute!!
I love to sew just about everything but my favorite is designing and sewing handbags, a few years ago my husband suggested I start making my own handbags so I thought I'd give it a shot. I can't count how many bags I've made since then and I'd be embarrassed to tell you how many I've kept for myself.
Aside from handbags I've gotten quite fond of sewing clothes for my kids, especially my little girl. It amazes me that I can sit down and sew a dress for her in the same amount of time it would take me to drive to the mall and buy one.
My favorite part of the sewing journey is taking the end result. There's something meaningful about taking a piece of fabric and turning it into something useful and beautiful. That's my therapy.
I stay at home with my kids and love it but as Mom I find I just need something for me. Something besides the cooking, cleaning, and playing with toys and that's where my Etsy shop and sewing comes in. I love the community on Etsy and some of the people I've met on here have become a daily part of my life.
Aside from being a Mom and running Handmade Therapy Kids and Handmade Therapy I'm also interested in a number of things.
Archery: I've been into archery and bow hunting for almost 15 years. It's a love I share with my husband and now my kids as well!
Gardening/Local Food: My family and I have spent a lot of time turning a decent part of our yard into gardens. We believe in locally grown organic food and what a better way to achieve that than to grow it ourselves!
Urban Beekeeping: We have been keeping bees for a couple of years now. I've been quite attached to the little workers and we certainly enjoy the honey, beeswax, and pollination they share with us.

HI! I'm Hilda and I love to create, especially with my sewing machine. I'm a Wife to a wonderful husband and together we have four kids. We share our home with our dog Fable and my ridiculously huge fabric stash.
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
I ship via Canada Post, regular mail, unless you want it faster - contact me if you do. You will responsible for any additional charges flowing from alternative shipping. I can send a revised invoice with the new shipping charges for expedited shipping times.
I do ship international - please contact me if you have any concerns. You may have to pay customs, duties or taxes on your purchase in your jurisdiction. If you need a tracking number please contact me as Canada Post charges a high fee for this. Again I can send a revised invoice with the new shipping charges if you’d like a tracking number.
Shipping to countries other than Canada can take a lot of time - often more than 2 weeks to the US (sometimes up to a full month) and much longer abroad, although some packages to the US get through Customs in a few days. For this reason, I cannot consider international packages lost until at least one month has passed.
If you live in or around Calgary, I’m happy to waive your shipping costs if you’d like to pick your item up. Please contact me for a local pickup coupon code to waive the shipping charge.
Feel free to contact me if you’d like your item sent as a gift and would like it gift wrapped or a note card included. Please also confirm the shipping address you would like your gift sent to.
If your PayPal shipping address and Etsy shipping address are different I will contact you and wait 2 days for a response. If I have not heard back in the 2 days I will automatically ship to your Etsy address.
