Announcement   Welcome to handsewnbyme! I am FDA registered and compliant and offer cloth alternatives to disposables, at very affordable pricing! I specialize in exposed core cloth pads. This term refers to the core or absorbent part of the pad that is stitched on top of instead in between layers. This style pad offers a closer contact with the body as well as great comfort and fit.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! The sanitary snap or the extra snap on the end of the wing is back! This snap allows clean or soiled pad to be folded and stowed in your purse or wet bag. This snap is only intended for this purpose but could also be used to adjust the width of the pad. Take note that by doing this there will be a snap that sits close to the middle of the pad, that may or may not bother the inner thigh. The sanitary snap setting is placed on all pads except my 17 and 20 inch pads. If you desire extra snaps on these pads, message me at time of purchase. I am happy to add them at no additional charge to you.

All items in my shop are cut out by hand and stitched by me. Each pad is a unique creation, I take great pride in my work and in my client's satisfaction. All listings in my shop are finished products and ready to ship. I generally ship within 24 hours of your cleared payment. (excludes weekends and holidays)

My current prices are as follows

9.5 Inch pads- $9.25
12.5 Inch pads- $12.25
15.5 Inch pads- $15.25
17 Inch pads- $17.25
20 Inch Pads- $20.25

Check my shop often. My stock tends to rotate quickly.

I am currently not taking custom orders.

THANK YOU for your business! I am so blessed to be able to do something I love! Choosing cloth alternatives over disposables is the perfect way to make a positive impact on our earth and your pocketbook! If you are new to cloth, take the plunge and buy with confidence from handsewnbyme.

Please note that I am NOT available for co-ops, and I do not participate in blogs, giveaways or reviews. I do occasionally offer coupon codes or discounts. Also from time to time I cut and sew small liners from my scrap pile and offer them at a "try it" price. I want all women to be able to try cloth, without breaking the bank. Check my shop often to snap up these great little pads.

About

On A Bet With Myself

My name is Theresa and literally handsewnbyme started on a bet with myself!

I have been sewing since I was a very little girl. My mother, a quilter, seamstress, and avid knitter taught me her skills. I quickly realized that my hands could not keep up with mind. Ideas constantly ran through my head of what I was going to sew next, how I would alter the pattern, what fabrics I would choose. I LOVED to sew.

I became a mother and wife at a very young age. I soon found that my talent for sewing was not only a passion for me but also a way for me to save money on things I needed and could make for my family. Eventually I started making extra money from time to time too. I sewed clothing, goods for the home, and cloth diapers too!

Many years have passed now. I have been married for nearly 30 years and raised 3 children. My husband has traveled for work for 27 of those years, leaving me with lots to do on my own. While he was away providing for us, I was never at a loss for things to do until our children were raised and started moving out of the house to forge lives of their own.

Now was the time to start doing things I had only dreamed of doing. I started working at a veterinary clinic 9 years ago. I have learned more than I ever realized this job would teach me. My passion to continue working at this job opened my eyes and my heart. My most valuable skill I have learned at my job is how to be a compassionate person. My motto eventually became "Everyday I work at the clinic I get to touch a life. Be it animal of human, I make a difference".

Then 5 years ago I made a bet with myself. While I was loving what I was doing outside my home, I longed to spend my extra time at home sewing and crafting a business. One day I took the plunge and handsewnbyme was born. I enjoy sewing and sharing my cloth alternatives to disposable items. The line of items I offer in my shop is ever growing.

I enjoy creating items that are alternative to disposables. When I was a young mom raising a family, this was a way for me to feed my passion as well as save us money. Now I am sharing with you!
