Lupus is something that is very near to me. I was diagnosed at age 23, I have lived with Lupus for over 25 years. It wasn't until about 5 years ago that I started to really experience some serious effects. Last year was the worst. I am now with a new Rhuematologist, on some new medications and am also currently taking part in a Lupus drug study. I am blessed and thank God for each and every day that is given to me!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I specialize in exposed core cloth pads. This term refers to the core or absorbent part of the pad that is stitched on top of instead in between layers. This style pad offers a closer contact with the body as well as great comfort and fit.

handsewnbyme offers different absorbencies.

9 inch cloth pads: For discharge, spotting, menstrual cup backup, or light flow. 9 inch pads have a Zorb core consisting of one layer.

12 inch cloth pads: For moderate flow 12 inch pads have a Zorb core consisting of one layer.

15 & 17 inch pads: For the heaviest days of your period, overnight, or postpartum. 15 & 17 inch pads have a 2 layer Zorb core.

20 Inch & 22 Inch : Also for you heaviest days. 20 & 22 Inch are my best sellers! These pads provide maximum protection.

handsewnbyme cloth pads are 100% Vegan! My products do not contain any animal products (silk, wool, ect)

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! The sanitary snap or the extra snap on the end of the wing is back! This snap allows clean or soiled pad to be folded and stowed in your purse or wet bag. This snap is only intended for this purpose but could also be used to adjust the width of the pad. Take note that by doing this there will be a snap that sits close to the middle of the pad, that may or may not bother the inner thigh. The sanitary snap setting is placed on all pads except my 17 and 20 inch pads. If you desire extra snaps on these pads, message me at time of purchase. I am happy to add them at no additional charge to you.

Caring for your cloth pads
Rinse or soak pads in cold water, then machine or hand wash with your other laundry as usual. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. This will affect the absorbency as well as the fiber breakdown of the pad. I will send detailed instructions with your first order.

All items in my shop are cut out by hand and stitched by me. Each pad is a unique creation, I take great pride in my work and in my customer's satisfaction. All listings in my shop are finished products and ready to ship. I generally ship within 24 hours of your cleared payment. (excludes weekends and holidays)

My current prices are as follows

9.5 Inch pads- $9.35
12.5 Inch pads- $12.35
15.5 Inch pads- $15.35

THANK YOU for your business! I am so blessed to be able to do something I love! Choosing cloth alternatives over disposables is the perfect way to make a positive impact on our earth and your pocketbook! If you are new to cloth, take the plunge and buy with confidence from handsewnbyme.

As required by law, handsewnbyme is FDA registered and compliant with the regulations deptartment of menstrual products that are sold in the US. I feel that it is important to legally operate my small business. I am committed to offering high quality cloth pads for many years! You can view my FDA registration here: http://1.usa.gov/1UoOYyD

Check my shop often to snap up these great little pads.

About

It's 2017, Time For An Update!

My name is Theresa and I have been running handsewnbyme since 2009!

My business has grown and evolved over time and I truly love what I do. When I started creating pads, I was just making two sizes, 9 and 12 inch pads. After some requests, I designed a 15 inch and then a 17 inch pad. Most recently, I have added a 20 inch and a 22 inch pad design, as well. I have heard from so many women who wanted, needed, but could not find, pads longer than 15 inches. My 20 inch pad has quickly become my best seller!

I handle all aspects of my shop. 2016 was a little rough for me, but I am looking ahead into the New Year! I have so many ideas and goals for my business. I hope to be opening my own website this year, where I will specialize in the larger, harder to find pads. I will still be here on Etsy, as well. Watch for details over the coming months.

I am still working at a veterinary clinic, 2 days per week. Another passion of mine. Back when I started nearly 12 years ago, I didn't think I had what it took to work there. It is a job that can be physically, mentally and emotionally draining. Sometimes it's all three of those things at once. It is a job that has taught me immensely about canines, felines, humans , the bonds we form and the miracle of life.

I have been married to my childhood sweetheart for nearly 32 years. He has always been my number one cheerleader. I don't know what I would do without Tony. We have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. I try to be ever present in each of their lives. I want my children and grand babies to never doubt for a minute, how much they are loved and cherished.

I enjoy creating items that are alternative to disposables. When I was a young mom raising a family, this was a way for me to feed my passion as well as save us money. Now I am sharing with you!
