Got my purchase a couple of days ago.... and I love it! Can't wait to hang it in our entry way of our new home. Securely shipped, and with a sweet personal note from the artist, Hank and Jo. Love the details... so much more beautiful in person.

This is stunning! Beautiful piece of art. The colors are fantastic. It was a custom order, and it still arrived super fast, and carefully packed. I love the added feature of the wooden beads and swirled silver. I'm sure I'll be ordering more! Wonderful transaction! Thanks so much.

About

STAINED GLASS IN THE HILLS OF THE OZARKS

I have always had an appreciation for stained glass and an eye for color, so I established Heirloom Stained Glass Studio in 1987. The distinction of my work is a combination of being able to choose just the right colors and glasses for each project and the fact that I, personally, construct every project from conception to completion. I began working in stained glass, initially studying under Jim Galloway of Galloway Stained Glass Studio in Peoria, Illinois, at which time I constructed the windows for the house my wife and I built in Arkansas. Since then, I have been producing custom work for clients through my web site, for my Etsy shop, and for two galleries in Arkansas. Most of my glass is obtained from an international, wholesale glass dealer out of Chicago, Illinois so that I have the opportunity to purchase high quality glass for my windows and lamps.

The glass process always begins with creating a design, drawing a pattern, selecting glass, then scoring and grinding individual pieces. The next determination is whether the copper foil technique, lead came, or a combination of the two is appropriate for the piece.

25 years ago, my wife, Jo, and I built our cabin in the woods around windows I created in our home in Illinois. Our son calls us "airconditioned hippies" because we retain some of the life style but with amenities.

Hank and I have been together for 50 years and married for 46 of those! We have created a wonderful life, and our stained glass business has been an added joy. I retired from teaching high school four years ago and enjoy the added time we share.
