These are fun, I purchased them before for my sister. Now that I have my own cats I wanted to give them a try. One only lasted two days before the fluff is coming out. Though both my cats have claws which could lessen the eyeballs life time. I would still probably buy them again.
About
Handmade cat toys from recycled materials
In the fall of 2007 my husband and I adopted a little tiny, spitting hissing feral kitten. Through the long slow process of socialization and trust he has grown into a lovely adult with such a fun personality. That first fall I made up a pair of 'catnip eyeballs' for Orange (the kitten) to play with from materials I had around the house. The first few sets were completely hand sewn. After saying 'what the heck' and listing some on Etsy and making a sale that first night, we were off! I have been in eyeball heaven since!
The key to these beautiful balls is that they are big but light. With a 15lb Maine Coon mix I knew we needed something substantial for him to play with that wouldn't automatically disappear under the refrigerator.
Made from recycled sweatshirts or trousers all of our toys are still made just by me. Sewn now with a sewing machine and finished by hand they are a labor of love. I try to use recycled materials when I can and potent high quality catnip. They are freshly stuffed in small batches so you don't get stale toys!
I strive to have good customer service and get orders out in a very timely manner. Let me know if you have any questions.
