Announcement   Specializing in handmade bentwood rings, as well as wooden earrings and plugs.

Custom is my specialty, so if what you're wanting doesn't exactly fit what you see, send me a message and I'd love to work with you.

The bentwood method of making wooden rings is the only way to ensure a long life for your ring, thanks to the fact that there are no weak endgrain areas. The process is done almost entirely by hand and without power tools, which requires an incredible amount of attention to the smallest of details.

The majority of my rings are made from domestic woods such as black walnut, western cedar, hard maple, white oak, and black cherry, and especially enjoy when the wood has a story I can share. I consider it a treat to have the opportunity to work with new exotic woods, but understand that many of these beautiful woods are endangered and must be used responsibly. The high-sheen finish I put on the rings is waterproof, quite durable, and safe for contact with skin.

I find that designing earrings is a great creative outlet for me. I like coming up with new shapes and styles, and love to hear input from others.

When I make plugs, I try to get as much character from the wood as possible, and especially like using burl or tight-grain woods to achieve this.

Note: All pieces of jewelry are handmade custom to order, and therefore may vary slightly in woodgrain and colour.

About

The progression of an unconventional art form

I believe that everyone has their own art forms, or methods of expression. One of mine is designing and making what I see as beautiful things out of wood. Wood is unique and beautiful. You will never find two pieces of wood that are exactly alike. You can cut it, shape it, bend it, manipulate it in any form your mind can imagine.

I have always had a passion for imagining and creating items. In a way it was just a jumble of desires and experiences at home and in woodworking class until I began having my own needs to fill: plugs for my ears, a ring for my (soon-to-be) fiancee, etc. I soon realized that the more I made these things, the nicer they looked and the more people wanted one for themselves.

I am currently broadening my horizons and studying furniture design and building. I hope to soon have some larger items for sale. Hold tight!

If you like what I make, I very much appreciate your support, even an encouraging word!

Since the early days hanging out with my dad in the workshop, there has been inside of me a passion for making things out of wood. My hope is that the products I make will bring people as much joy to wear/use them as they brought me to make them.

Shop policies

Last updated on April 3, 2015
My work is mostly custom, meaning I usually don't have items sitting around waiting to be shipped (unless otherwise stated). I try my best to get orders done within 2-3 weeks of purchase, however we all get busy and sometimes that just isn't possible for me. So please forgive me if I take a little longer. If your order is a rush (e.g. wedding bands for a wedding in a week) there will be a 25% rush fee, and possibly higher shipping fee depending on how soon you need the item.

Shipping
Items ship from Canada. In my experience, standard shipping to Canada and US take about 1-2 weeks to arrive. Overseas orders can be anywhere from 2-8 weeks unless an upgraded shipping method is selected. Tracking numbers are available for Canadian orders and can be requested for an extra charge for any international orders. If you need something shipped quicker than standard mail, notify me and we'll work out what the extra cost will be.
Refunds and Exchanges
If your ring or plugs are the wrong size and you need a new one(s), send the item back to me and I will modify it or make a new one to the correct size and send it to you at no charge.

For any workmanship flaws within the first year after your purchase, I will fix or make a new item at no charge, so long as it's a reasonable situation (e.g. if you tell me your ring broke because your dog got a hold of it, that's your fault!). Basically, use common sense. Wood isn't as strong as metal; please take responsibility for your own mistakes! Unfortunately I can't be working for free all the time.

For all earrings that come with sticks, I will replace any broken or lost sticks for no charge for as long as you own the pair of earrings. Those sticks aren't very strong, no matter what kind of wood they're made out of.

Discounted items do not come with a warranty, that's why they're discounted.

For all items, I will give a full refund as long as the item is in new condition, and you will receive your money once the item is back in my hands.

If you have any questions about returns, refunds, resizing, or replacements, feel free to contact me!
