Aloha and welcome to my shop! I use to be a hobbyist and created items for Etsy part time, but after being laid off 3X from my corporate job as an Executive Admin. I decided to take my love of creating and make it my full time job. I recently sold my house in California and moved to my dream location in Hawaii where I now have a small art studio (versus the tiny spare room I use to have). I love the constant warm temperature and breezes and enjoy listening to rainforest birds and Coqui frogs. The island is my inspiration!
People assume if you live on Hawaii you spend all your time at the beach, but Etsy is my full time job and like any job, my day starts around 7 or 8 in the morning and I work tirelessly all day till about 6 pm at night. I love creating items for my 5 Etsy shops, yes 5 – as I’m serious about Etsy! I do get to the beach too…..
My morning starts with thank you’s to customers, answering customer emails and then printing out the orders for the day. Once orders are made and boxed up, then I spend my afternoons creating more items for Etsy, taking/editing photos, listing items, and working on the shops. Having one shop on Etsy is work, having 5 shops is a LOT of work, but I love creating and Etsy is the perfect platform to show off my creations.
I love exploring locally and online for new materials to make jewelry, mala’s, or natural products for my herbal line. The possibilities are endless and only hampered by not enough time in the day!

Frequently asked questions
What is gold/silver plating? And how do I care for it?
Plating is gold or silver over a base metal (usually copper). It is not solid gold or silver. Gold/silver plated jewelry is less expensive but just as lovely.
Do not wear gold or silver plated jewelry swimming in a swimming pool, ocean, lake/river. As natural (and manmade) chemical particles can deteriorate the gold/silver plating.
Silver is notorious for tarnishing when exposed to water, sweat, soaps, perfumes, and body oils. If your silver tarnishes easiest solution is to use a dab of toothpaste (any kind works) and GENTLY rub it between your fingers to remove the buildup/tarnish, rinse in warm water, towel dry. Harsh chemicals like silver cleaners or rubbing to hard will ruin the silver plating.
How is my jewelry made?
I work from a small art studio on my property in Hilo Hawaii. I make all my jewelry by hand.
Materials are sourced from all over the world.
Wholesale availability
Wholesale is available, but some pieces are limited quantities. Please convo me if you wish to have Haole Girl Haiku jewelry in your shop. Note, I do not do drop shipping - you must have a brick and mortar store.
Gift wrapping and packaging
All necklaces, earrings, and bracelets come in a gift box with a bow. Each box arrives with white tissue paper so all orders look like a gift.
Gift cards and notes are free, just let me know in the comments box you'd like one and what you'd like it to say.
