Happy Camper Crafts unofficially started when I was in the 3rd grade and discovered a joy in creating things, specifically gifts for others! The calendar I made for my 3rd Grade Teacher for Christmas that year started it all!

I continued making gifts for people (still do) and somewhere in the later part of the first decade of the 2000's, people would say "you should sell this" and before long friends and family were asking to buy what I made for themselves or to give to others!

Inspired by the land that I love and grew up in (and lived in until 2019), the Finger Lakes Region of New York State, my Etsy shop focused only on wine glass charms! For the better part of ten years I only sold, now and then in my Etsy shop & at the occasional (small) craft fair or farm market. I would expand my offerings to include simple, but happy crafts including: necklaces, magnets, signs and photo cards when at fairs and markets. I considered my Etsy Shop/Craft Business as more of a hobby than a business. In 2019 as I was preparing to get married and move to a new area, the desire to make my craft business more than just a hobby started to ignite. I added new items to the shop that were not wine glass charms for the first time ever and signed up for a Craft Fair in December 2019, the first in five years.

I continue to create and take steps to make my craft business more than just a hobby! I've really been enjoying working on the behind the scenes parts of my business as well as on new product lines! Annnnnnd I really look forward to getting back to Craft Fairs, which is slowly starting to happen again (yippee)!
