About happyeverpaper

Sales 528
On Etsy since 2016

There is a box under our bed filled with letters.

I'm Samantha, and I love stationery. A big reason why is this:

From the time I was 14 to when I married at 24, my now husband and I were in, for the most part, a long distance relationship. In the beginning, we had AOL Instant Messenger and emails. Then Myspace. Then Facebook and finally—finally—personal cell phones.

But my favorites were the letters and cards. I loved sending them—sometimes many at one time in an overstuffed envelope, with "Day 1, Day 2, Day 3..." labeled on folded papers. And I loved receiving them. I giggled over his words and his scribbly hand-writing, and cherished the feel of paper like it was his hand.

I've kept every letter and card he sent.

There is another box under our bed, and a scrapbook in the living room and in frames on the walls, of letters and cards from family and friends. Cards from when they were overseas. Cards from the summer we married. Cards from when my first and only dog passed away after 16 wonderful years.

I don't keep everything—just the ones with handwritten messages and were thoughtfully chosen. Some I keep because they are just too pretty to throw away.

I opened Happy Ever Paper with that feeling in mind—that some mail are meant to be treasured forever. That words, feelings and memories can be held and touched in a real tangible way, and were not out of reach on some far away cloud.

Happy Ever Paper is my way of slowing down and inspiring tangible intimacy—and love—in an increasingly digital and fast-paced world.

Frequently asked questions
Sizing details

Unless said otherwise in the listing, every card and paper is hand-cut in my home. I try my best to make everything as uniform as possible, without losing the handmade charm. Inevitably however, there may be some sheets slightly off by a few centimeters or so. Overall though, they will always be *about* the size as listed.

Gift wrapping and packaging

I try to make every unwrapping and unpacking experience a happy one.

You can always count on each item being carefully packaged so they can be as protected from mail handling accidents as possible. Unfortunately, I can't always guarantee a perfect shipment. Maybe after drones, people will start working on teleporters? :)
