Think Happy Thoughts!

Happy Thoughts started in 2005 with a monogramming machine purchased on EBay, encouragement from friends and a need to find some work after the company where I worked in marketing relocated to another state. I have always loved sewing, smocking and creating things so it was a natural progression to start this business. When I was young, my dear mother always gave me the advice to "Think Happy Thoughts" to be happy. Obviously, that message stuck with me and seemed the perfect name for my business, as I think of each item as a little happy thought for someone.

Since then, after much research and experimenting, I have gradually purchased and learned to use new software, printers, heat presses, vinyl cutters and more equipment (including upgrading that EBay monogram machine a few times). I continue to challenge myself to develop new techniques to create fun, unique and useful products. Everything you see is designed and created in my studio, which I recently moved into a great new dedicated space. Occasionally, I get a little help with packaging from my husband and sons and my teenage daughter is an excellent advisor! I hope you enjoy my products as much as I enjoy creating them! Shipping
Standard Shipping information:
Please allow approximately two weeks from receipt of paid order with complete personalization details provided for your order to ship out (may be longer during busy times-see shop announcement for variations). Most orders ship by First-class mail and certain listings have an option to upgrade to Priority Mail. Shipping upgrades change the shipping method ONLY, not the production time.

If you need an order to ship sooner than stated, please send a message BEFORE you place the order to make sure the turnaround time can be accommodated and, if so, I will provide instructions on how to place a rush order. Rush requests cannot be accommodated if they are not agreed upon prior to the order being placed and rush instructions aren't followed. PLEASE DO NOT PUT RUSH REQUESTS IN THE NOTES TO SELLER WITHOUT PRIOR DISCUSSION!

Orders are processed in the order in which they are received. Information provided in "Notes to Seller" is viewed when production begins. If you have questions, please contact me before you place your order.

Please carefully review your shipping address as I cannot be responsible for requests for address changes once an order has been placed.

The invoice will be updated with notification when the item is shipped and tracking information will be included, when available.

Items will be shipped by USPS or FedEx home delivery. Items shipped valued over $100 may require a signature upon receipt. Be sure to provide the correct shipping address on BOTH your Paypal account and your Etsy account. I cannot be responsible for packages not received if the wrong address is provided.

Currently, I only ship to the United States, with a few items to Canada and Australia. International shoppers will be responsible for any customs fees, taxes and duties that may be incurred.

If you are in the Little Rock area and want to pick up your item, please use the code LOCAL2011 and the shipping fee will be waived.
Refunds and Exchanges
Orders begin the production process as soon as they are received so refunds cannot be issued once an order is placed. Personalized items are not returnable.

If you receive an item that has an error or is damaged in shipping, please notify me within five days of receipt of the order. If there is a mistake on my part, I will replace the item. If an item is defective, I will request verification of the defect via return or photo (including photos of packaging if damaged) and will provide a replacement upon verification.

PRODUCTION
My customized items are created using high-quality blanks and other materials with great attention to craftsmanship and details. Ribbons, trims and other accents may be subject to availability. Slight variations may occur. Please note that colors on printed pieces may vary in brightness and intensity from those as viewed on a backlit computer monitor. If you have any concerns over color or font lettering, please contact me prior to placing your order for recommendations. If you would like a more detailed description of any product or recommendations for your order, please send me a message. I will make corrections to punctuation and grammatical errors unless otherwise requested.

ORDER DETAILS
If I have a question about your order, I will send you an Etsy conversation. If no response is received within one week, I will prepare the item(s) using my recommended selections. If any minor selections are left blank, I will produce using the default options shown.

Please make sure that initials are provided in the order requested in the item description. Please double check sizing and measurements provided for all items as refunds or replacements cannot be provided for sizing issues. If you need help with a size, refer to the measurements or contact me if questions about sizing.

Proofs are included for certain items such as cutting boards, phone cases, wine bags, cake pans, trays and license plates. Proofs must be requested with the order in the notes to seller. In order to keep the pricing down, proofs are not included on all other items but they can be provided for an additional charge (message for details). Proofs must be requested in the notes to seller when the order is placed. Proofs are not available prior to purchase. Orders with a request for a proof may have a longer turnaround time.

ORDERS RECEIVED
If you have any concerns about your order, I would appreciate a message prior to a unfavorable review as I want you to be happy with your order!

Refunds or replacements cannot be given for merchandise damaged due to wear and tear.

COMMUNICATION/MISCELLANEOUS
All communication regarding orders and questions should be directed through the etsy conversation system.

Photographs of your finished product may be used as examples for future sales. If you do not want your item to be photographed for future promotions, please advise when you place your order. ALL PHOTOS AND DESCRIPTIONS ARE PROPERTY OF HAPPY THOUGHTS GIFTS AND MAY NOT BE REPRODUCED WITHOUT PERMISSION.

Please do not send requests for information about product suppliers, production equipment, etc. because I am not able to share this information.

How do I place an order and provide my selections?

The full item description gives detailed instructions on how to provide your personalization information. All of the options are shown in the photos. Some selections are made using the drop-down list and additional information as outlined in the description should be provided in the notes to seller. Please provide in numbered order as indicated to help make sure you provide all the needed selections.

How do monograms work?

For a traditional monogram, the initials are place in order of First Initial, Last Name Initial, Middle (or Maiden) Name Initial. For example, the traditional monogram for Sarah Ellis Jones would be: sJe (all caps with the J larger in the center).

Another option is a couples monogram which has the female's name on the left, family name in the center, and male's name on the right. For example, the couples monogram for Sarah and David Jones would be: sJd (all caps with the J larger in the center).

Another style is a block monogram which is common for men. All three initials are the same size. For example, the monogram for David Michael Jones would be: DMJ

How long will it take to get my order?

The normal processing time is for orders to be completed and shipped out in 7-10 business days. If you need an order more quickly, please message me before you place your order to see if it's possible and for information on rush processing.
