About

Obsessive Girl Stitches Constantly

One day I found a piece of Aida in some old craft supplies of my mother's and decided to make something. The complete and utter freedom of cross-stitch, blackwork, and free embroidery turned me into an obsessive stitcher.

After designing and stitching my own patterns for a year I noticed that many people bought their patterns and decided to get in on the action.

Embroidery, for me, is also about sanity. I have two chronic pain conditions which cause constant pain, even if I lie in bed all the time. I'm home, alone, the vast majority of my life and always in desperate need of distraction. When I first became sick knitting saved my life, now needlework continues to save it.

I became disabled when I was 20, so my personal hobbies had to shift quite a lot, towards things I could still do. My time is spent designing and stitching, reading, cooing over my cat like a crazy person, and collecting tea cups.

Shop policies

Last updated on September 25, 2015
My goal is to create interesting patterns that you can't find anywhere else. It results in a big mix of more traditional pieces mixed with subversiveness and politics.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Shipping
All patterns are sold as downloadable files. I am not currently able to print and mail patterns.

Finished pieces will be shipped within three days of purchase, barring the two weeks before Christmas when I will not be shipping anything.

If you are unable to download a pattern you previously purchased, it is because the files have been updated. Please contact me (preferably via your purchase information so I have the order number) and I will e-mail you the pattern files.
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not offer refunds. It is up to the buyer to read listings carefully and ask questions before they buy.

If a listing title includes the word "pattern" it is just that, a pattern, not a finished piece.
Additional policies and FAQs
Do not sell finished pieces made with my patterns barring for charity purposes. In those instances the full price from the finished piece must go to the charity, not a percentage.

My patterns do not use symbols (in general), but solid color blocks on graph paper. For me this is both the easiest way to create a pattern and the easiest to read when stitching.

I am not currently able to convert my patterns to symbols only, though I am working on that with a few of the more complex ones.

If a pattern is difficult to read on your monitor or after printing (ie: if the colors run together), please contact me and I'll work to fix it for you.
