So happy with this skirt. Jen really made something special. She really took the time to make it such a beautiful piece. Just like every other skirts I have ordered from her in the past. I loved every single one of them. I have a patchwork skirt collection of Jennifer's work.

I tried to make this customer happy, but she accepted nothing that I offered. She wanted extra pockets before purchasing. I told her yes but the stitching would show, so she asked for a discount. I told her the bag was priced as is, and she purchased it anyway. Once she got it, she complained about the sizing even though all the measurements were listed in the description and even though a model is wearing the bag and there are pictures of the bag from every direction. My shop clearly says "no returns", but when she asked for one, I did offer an 80% return if she were to ship within two days so I would have it in time to resell at a concert this weekend. I also offered to fix the measurements NO CHARGE if she sent it back. She agreed but then instead wrote this review. Please read my other POSITIVE reviews!

Hey all! My name is Jennifer, and I am the one behind all you see here! My hope is to pass along an unique expression of the individual convictions within, and to help kindle awareness of the strength and beauty surrounding us all.

I take tremendous care to create beautiful items that are not only fun, but also long-lasting. I put in tons of patience and love to ensure lotsa everyday wear won't be cause of any disintegration, all the while making my items affordable and unique so you know you've made a wise decision.

To make sure items last through many travels, I over-edge and double-stitch all the seams where need be, just as a serger does. I am in the practice of prewashing and preshrinking most fabrics before sewing with them. This ensures a smooth and uniform finish and also tests out the integrity of the fibers and weavings in the cloth. To mix it up and for more fun, I seek out special materials and collect everything and anything that comes my way.

Unless the item description says otherwise, you can be sure that the piece you're considering contains material salvaged from clothing found treasure hunting at the thrift shop, or traded in from friends. Often times searches for recycled material bring to light some of the best colors, designs, and quality. I pre-wash any and all recycled clothing before sewing and don't bother using any fabric pieces that are worn or thread-bare. This all keeps costs down so I can pass along deals to you!

I accept PayPal, personal checks, and money orders. I wait for all payments to clear before shipping items. EMAIL me if you need express or overnight shipping before committing to buy an item... I can not guarantee the shipping time you want unless we have discussed it first. Payments should be received either online or in the mail within 10 days of completing a sale. Please contact me if you need an item on hold and we can work out a payment plan :)
I send pretty much everything domestic or international through the United States Postal Service. Unless otherwise noted, the item is sent 'priority mail'. Within the US this is about 2-3 days, and outside the US this is usually 6-10 days. Tracking is included with all orders within the US. If you would like any other options, i.e. insurance or express mail, please email me first.
Refunds and Exchanges
There are times things do not come out quite perfect, so although I do not accept returns, I am all about hooking up repairs if need be. In my experience thus far, the types of situations that can come up include the buyer not taking note of the sizing as listed or missing something else in the item's description. The worst case scenario is when the fabric itself is not up to par and needs replacing after only one use. Usually most situations just call for you to take care of the of any of the additional shipping costs, but this is decided on a case by case basis.

I do not accept returns or refund payments once an item is paid for. If you change your mind about the purchase, I am happy to work out a credit with my website for another purchase or may even have time to work out a custom order if you prefer. If when you receive the item it doesn't fit, I can alter it for you for an additional yet nominal charge.

In the case where the fabric disintegrates or a seam bursts the first time you wear something, send it back to me (on your dime) and I will make the necessary repairs and send the item back to you (on my dime).
Additional policies and FAQs
If you would like to put an item on hold, no problem! Just email me and we can work out a payment plan that fits in with your needs. If you see an item you adore, but the sizing is off just a bit or even a whole lot, contact me before sending payment, and we can discuss how to proceed. Most alterations are *free* and I am all about making sure your piece is comfy and looks great on you!
