Working hard to make modern jewelry that lasts a lifetime
It was almost 20 years ago that I wandered into an Art Jewelry gallery and thought “THIS is what I want to do”. I was working towards my MFA in printmaking at the time but something wasn’t right. I loved creating the images, manipulating the plates and even doing the printing itself but the images left me flat. Over the course of that summer I taught myself enough skills to create a portfolio of work to reapply to graduate programs in metalsmithing. I was accepted at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and never looked back.
I have been influenced and helped along the way by countless people, places and experiences. I love my husband (who built my amazing studio), my kids (who’s artwork adorns the walls in said studio), hikes in the woods, canoeing on the lake, big diamonds, my colored gemstone addiction (seriously, it’s becoming a problem), tiny things, thinking about the endless possibilities to remodel our house, my studio dog, Cüper, Marimekko fabric, British costume dramas (I can’t believe I’m admitting that!), historical fiction, Vizslas (look it up!).
On any given day you can find me working in my studio, reading, knitting, playing with my kids, walking our dog, hanging out with my husband, ordering gemstones, laughing, sketching, camping in our awesome vintage Scamp, attempting a new recipe, chasing our incredibly naughty dog around our house, and thinking about cleaning up around here.
I work really hard to create jewelry that will last through many lifetimes. I want all my work to bring happiness to my customers and, on its best day, to reach the level of heirloom. The thought of someone thinking “This was my Mom’s favorite piece of jewelry” or “This was Dad’s wedding band” fills me with joy and keeps me skipping out to my bench each and every day.

Can you make this in gold?
Absolutely! Please contact me for a price quote that will be valid for 30 days.
Do you have a photo of these earrings on a model so I can see how big they look?
At this time, I do not have photos of any earrings being modeled. It's just me in the studio and taking a photo of your own ear is harder than it sounds! I am working with a local photographer and I will soon have photos of some of my earrings on a model.
Can I get this pendant with a chain longer than 20"?
Absolutely! Just contact me for information and prices.
Do you charge a restocking fee on made to order items in case of a return?
Sometimes and at my discretion. This can be between 10% and 25% depending on the circumstances.
When you say "ship items back to me within 14 days" does that mean the postmark date or the delivery date?
All returns need to be approved by me and need to be return postmarked within 14 days of delivery. After you have had the item in your possession for 14 days, it's yours and it cannot be returned.
