Welcome to Hat and Mouse Designs! Thank you for taking the time to review my shop policies!

Payment is due at the time of purchase.
If you do not have a paypal account you can still make a payment through paypal with your credit card without setting up an account.
**PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ADDRESS IS CORRECT! If you need to change your shipping address after placing your order please contact me ASAP.
Made to order items will ship within 14 business days of cleared payment. Ready to ship items usually go out within 3 days of cleared payment.
Domestic orders ship First Class USPS and a tracking number will be provided.
International orders are shipped USPS. Tracking information will provided with your customs label.
I DO NOT guarantee shipping times once the package has left my hands. Packages are taken to the post office within 24 hrs after the shipping label has been created. I am not responsible for delayed packages due to weather, customs, or USPS delays. If you would like to upgrade to an alternative shipping service please contact me before placing your order.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your Hat and Mouse purchase! In general I do not accept returns, but if something is wrong with your order, please contact me within 72 hours of receipt.
Additional Policies and FAQs
*** Due to some unforeseen circumstances Hat and Mouse will not be opening custom order spots on November 1st or until further notice. Please stay tuned to learn when custom orders will resume. Thank you for your understanding and support!
- A limited number of custom order spots will be listed on the first of each month. These are first come-first serve and go extremely quickly! I cannot hold or promise a listing for anyone. I recommend that you follow Hat and Mouse on facebook or instagram or check my "shop announcement" for the exact time of day the postings will go live each month.
- Once you have purchased a listing message me to begin discussing the design of your hat.
-The base price for a custom order listing is $45.00. This includes:
a round or teardrop shaped base (other shapes such as pillbox may be an option, but please contact me BEFORE placing your order to discuss availability and pricing)
one type of fabric for the hat base as well as ribbon, flowers and/or feathers OR comparable materials such as felt, tulle, etc...
Additional elements such as beads, buttons, cameos, jewelry findings, cabochons, felties, glitter and other add-ons may be available and are an additional $2-$10 depending on the piece
mouse ears can be added for $4.00
a birdcage veil can be added for $10.00
color matched fabric is $5.00 ****if your hat is for a special occasion and you would like it to precisely match a dress, wedding colors etc.... I will do my best to match it as closely as possible. The best way to achieve this is to mail me a swatch of fabric, but I will also do my best to match by photo. Please be advised that colors matched by photo may not be exact.
-If you are purchasing extras I will set up an additional listing for you AFTER you have purchased a base custom listing. Extras must be paid within 24hrs of the listing being created.
-Customs can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to complete so please plan accordingly. If you need your order by a specific date I recommend you order two months in advance. For example: hats for Halloween must be ordered on September 1st.
-During the creation process I may contact you with questions, options and photos so you can see how your hat is coming along. Once I have a finished product I will send you photos to make sure you are happy with the hat! We can also make slight adjustments at this point if something isn't to your liking.
-The hat will be on it's way to you once I have your final approval! Hats ship USPS first class and come in a Hat and Mouse hat box.
****I reserve the rights to all my designs and sometimes a hat that was custom designed will become a regularly offered design in my shop.
CUSTOM CHANGE REQUESTS
A custom change request is for making slight changes to an existing design in my shop. This can be anything from adding ears to changing the color of a bow. Custom change requests are taken on a case by case basis and additional charges may be applied. Please contact me for details before placing your order if you are interested in a custom change request.
By purchasing an item you agree to the terms and conditions regarding your order. Once an order is made you agree to a binding contract between you and the seller.
