Crocheted fashion for the whole family

I started Hatt Street in 2009 when I lived on, you guessed it, Hatt Street here in Dundas, Ontario. I've been crafting and creating for as long as I can remember. My mother tried to teach me how to knit many many times, but I just never quite got the hang of it. Crocheting, on the other hand, came much more naturally to me, and luckily I had my dad to teach me that. My grandmother also crocheted, and was very talented, making lace and doilies in teeny tiny stitches. My own style has evolved into modern colourful pieces for the whole family.

I have a son (who is excellent about modelling for me!), and since his birth, my focus has switched more towards children and creating fun, unique pieces that appeal to moms as well as kids. I create all my own patterns, and take great care in making every piece.

I love taking custom orders, and in fact most of my business for the past few years has been custom orders. I love the challenge in creating the perfect piece for a customer!

I grew up in a family full of artists and crafters. I'm a self-taught crocheter, and have my humble beginnings in toques (beanies). I create all my own patterns, and have a bit of a perfectionist streak (ok, a lot of a perfectionist streak).

Shop policies

Welcome to Hatt Street. All items are hand made in my smoke free, pet free home.

I do custom orders as well, so if you see something you like but it's the wrong colour, wrong shape, wrong anything, please feel free to contact me with a request. Please allow one week for custom orders to be filled before shipping. Extra fees may apply according to complexity or quality of materials, but this will be discussed before I start any work, and we will come to an agreement that works for both of us.

All items are handmade by me in Dundas, Canada. I use my own original patterns to make every item, and each piece is completely unique.

Not unique enough? Let me know what you're thinking and I'll be happy to make you a custom order!

Payment must be received within three business days of date of purchase.

I accept Paypal.
Items are shipped via Canada Post, regular letter/parcel mail, within one to two business days of your payment being received. I ship internationally, and postage rates will be adjusted accordingly.

Why don't I offer shipping discounts within Canada? Because, in the long run, it saves you money. When shipping within Canada, my toques are flat enough to ship as letter mail. Which means, instead of paying small parcel fees, each toque can be shipped for just under $2. Parcel mail can run anywhere from $8 to $12, depending on location and weight. So, sending four toques individually will still cost less than sending four toques in one package.

If, however, you want to purchase multiple items and would prefer them to be shipped together, please contact me beforehand, and I will ship them together. I will adjust shipping rates accordingly, and you will be responsible for the added charge.

Due to customs concerns when shipping outside of Canada, parcel mail rates apply, and since it's parcel mail already anyways, I will ship everything together, unless you convo me and request otherwise. This applies to all international shipping, USA included.

If you require a different method of shipping, please contact me with your preferences when you choose your item. You will be responsible for any extra shipping costs this may incur.

I do not reimburse for taxes or tarrifs or customs fees or any other fees that may be incurred during shipping; these fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Local buyers may pick up items directly from me, but this will be subject to my availability, which may not coincide with yours. Please convo me before making your purchase, and I will remove shipping fees. At that time we can also set up a meeting time.
Refunds and Exchanges
Once an item is shipped, it's shipped. I do not accept returns, as these are items to be worn.

Exchanges may be made before the item is shipped, for an item of equal value. Keep in mind, though, that items are to be shipped within two business days.
Additional policies and FAQs
All items are washable on a delicates cycle, and should be laid flat to dry. Washing may also shrink the item, but it will stretch back to its original size easily.

If the item stretches to be too big, you may consider washing it on a delicates cycle, and tumble dry on low heat. This will shrink it back to its original size.
