I am Wiley's Girl

I have always been Wiley's girl. I grew up in a small town and was homeschooled by my grandparents while my parents worked 9 to 5 jobs. I learned quite a bit about the importance of a good work ethic as well as the importance of learning a trade. My grandparents encouraged me to learn a trade as a hobby. My grandmother's hobby was quilting and mine was designing clothes and making jewelry.

When my grandfather's best friend died in 2007, I went with him to the funeral. While we were at the funeral, some of his old mining buddies came over to say hello. After chatting for a bit, one of them look an me and said "Wiley, is that your girl? I haven't seen her since she was a little kid!" My grandfather laughed as he explained to his friends I was his eldest granddaughter. I had several other people ask me if I was Wiley's girl. Each time the question was asked, my grandfather beamed with pride. After that funeral, I was known as "Wiley's girl."

In the latter part of 2013, I decided to rename my jewelry business Wiley's Girl in honor of my grandfather. The man taught me a lot growing up and I wanted to be able to show him how thankful I am for all that he did for me.
