Thanks for stopping by!

My love of making things and of beautiful stones inspired me to start Hazel Designs in 2007. Because of the combination of my two interests, jewelrymaking seemed the perfect outlet for my creative energies. I love working in all kinds of materials such as semiprecious gemstones, glass, quartz, sterling silver, vermeil, pearls and crystals. My past work has included a lot of sterling silver and gold fill, but lately I've begun incorporating pieces created through my newly-developing metalsmithing skills.

Additional policies and FAQs

I offer a one-year warranty on all my pieces (one year from date of purchase.) I pride myself on careful, meticulous craftsmanship, but sometimes things do happen. In the event of a manufacturing flaw, I would be happy to repair your jewelry for free. The buyer will be responsible for the cost of shipping the item to me, but I will ship it back to you for free once repair is completed.

Covered by the warranty: damage to the links/metalwork (such as jump rings), chain, clasp, ear wires, and any wire work.

Not covered by the warranty: damage to the beads (ie. if the necklace is dropped and the bead breaks.)

For repair work under the warranty, please convo me and we can start the process.

If you see something you like in the "Sold" section of the shop, please convo me. If I have the supplies, I will gladly make another one for you. And since everything is handcrafted, no two necklace will be exactly alike, but they will be similar in style and color so you can still claim your individual piece as unique! Some of the pieces won't be repeatable, but some will, so just let me know and I will check if I can repeat the design.

Lastly, if you have an idea for a custom order, send me a convo!

Most of the pieces created by Hazel Designs are made of sterling silver. If not cared for properly, sterling silver will most likely tarnish. To prevent this, limit exposure to air by always storing your jewelry in plastic or cloth pouches (I like to use small Ziploc bags for all my sterling silver chains and wires, which work great in preventing tarnish).

If your silver does tarnish, you can use a polishing cloth, such as 3M Tarni-Shield Silver Polish. You can also find silver polishing cloths at jewelry stores (Tiffany has a good one).

Finally, avoid rubbing your jewelry pieces against each other by keeping them in their separate compartments.

These will ensure that you will enjoy your jewelry for years to come!
