the first solid food i was given was a coconut smoothie. i am not kidding you. my early back-to-basic upbringing on the tropical island of curaçao has clearly shaped my character, lifestyle choices & food philosophy. i love the ‘less is more’ esthetics of japanese & scandinavian design & think going back to our roots, both lifestyle & food wise, will greatly increase our sense of health & happiness. i’m passionate about the healing power food has. i love walking around barefoot. i like braided hairstyles. as you can see, i am a bit of a hippy idealist, but a hard working, modern & practical one for sure.

my work has brought me from teaching chefs at michelin-starred restaurants, to photo shoots for (inter)national magazines such as glamour & RED, vlog sessions at ELLE food, home studio work for ayurvedic tea brand yogi tea, cafés in berlin, stockholm & copenhagen where my health food books were written & a local design hotel that hosted my pop-up restaurant.
