About

The Road to a Successful Shirt Business

HELLO ETSY! I'm "young" 32 year old with a four year old daughter and wonderful husband. This opportunity is a dream come true for me. I've been an "artsy fartsy" person my whole life. I started out trying to sell oil paintings on esty, with very little success. As much as I enjoy painting, I'm finding that art is very hard to sell. I recently came up with the idea of drawing designs on shirts using bleach pens. Yup, just a plain old Clorox pen from the laundry isle. It seems to be a fresh new idea that is catching on, but my goal is to be one of the first with a successful business selling it. Just a handful of us are doing it on Etsy.

I graduated from Judson College in Elgin, IL with an "arty farsty" elementary education degree. But, I honestly, consider my formal art training rather modest. I took one painting class and got a C. I don't consider myself and outstanding artist, I'm just doing what I love to do, and feel called to do. As the Newsboys put it, I don't claim any know-how, but I'm giving God all that.

I've lived in the northwest suburbs of Chicago my whole life. I love Chicago, the USA, punky girly things, and bright colors. I put my faith in God, the ultimate creator, who gives us talent and desire to create. My art is a form of worship, and the love of Christ flows out onto the canvas. I constantly have new ideas for paintings. I can't keep up with my own mind!

I attend Harvest Bible Chapel in Elgin and have done artwork for the church. I also sing in the choir. Rock on!

Thank you so much for stopping by, and thanks for considering me. I hope to do business with you soon!
