My line of high-fired tableware is thrown on the potter's wheel using local stoneware clay and individually hand-carved using the traditional decorative technique of sgrafitto. I hope that my pottery allows you to connect with your special place in nature and you'll enjoy the unique quality that only comes from being handmade.

About

Nature is delicate, fragile and ever changing. It's those quiet moments in nature that cause us to pause for a moment, reflect a little deeper, look a little closer, explore a little more and breathe a little freer. I aim to bring the beauty of nature into your home with my designs. Whether you sip your morning cup of coffee alone or gather around the table as a family, I hope that my pottery allows you to connect with your special place in nature.

My vessels are thrown on the potter's wheel and carved using the traditional sgraffito technique, which can be dated back to the Middle Ages throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. I love using this technique because it connects to the history of ceramics and allows me to combine my drawing skills with pottery. Colored underglazes create the background color on the clay surface in which the designs are individually hand carved into the surface of the clay. The pottery will then dry out before it goes through the bisque firing in an electric kiln. A clear glaze is then applied on top and fired for a second time.
