About

The story of Hedy Riegle Studio

I'm Hedy Riegle and I recently moved from Columbus, Ohio to Germantown, Ohio. I'm learning my way around and we are settling into our little brick cottage just outside of town. My husband and I, along with our daughter and our dog, are enjoying the fresh outdoors and restoring this little homestead. I have a great studio in our home that allows me to create and make jewelry, accessories, gifts and decor items all hours of the day and night. I also teach private lessons in my studio for students 10 years old and older.

I have always loved vintage items; decor, clothing, and tidbit found objects, and the mysterious life they have led. I find it very rewarding to re-purpose things and give them new life and appeal by incorporating them into jewelry, gifts and home accessories. Common elements include religious medallions and rosaries, vintage watch parts, vintage costume jewelry, and skeleton keys. Linens, doilies, embroidery, and fabrics. It's all good stuff.

I began crafting when I was young and after having a home goods consignment shop for many years, I began selling my handmade wares at local festivals and fairs in the Columbus, Ohio area. It's been a pure pleasure learning my way, which tells me I'm on the right path.

For the past few years I have participated in many festivals and craft shows such as The Country Living Magazine Fair in Columbus, Ohio, The Olde Worthington Market Day in Worthington, Ohio, The Rural Society, The Eco-chic-craftacular Craft Show in Columbus, Ohio and many more.

I love to do custom work for my clients . . . I use your heirlooms to create a one-of-a-kind sentimental piece of jewelry to be worn everyday. A way to cherish and keep close to your heart the assemblage of your families jewels. Watches that no longer keep time can be transformed into a necklace or ring, bracelets become necklaces, and earrings become rings. Contact me to begin creating your own sentimental jewelry. I work with your ideas and materials and add my style of beads and trinkets. I guarantee your will love your new custom pieces for yourself or a special gift.

I love to re-cycle and re-using . . . finding a new purpose for something and breathing new life into it. If you have "supplies" that you are interested in selling or trading, please contact me . . . let's make it a win-win situation. Right now I am looking for vintage jewelry, skeleton keys, watches, and crystals.

Not everything that I present at the market is in my online shop and vis versa. If something has taken your eye, contact me, I may still have it or can make something similar for you.

You can also find my wares at local shops such as:
Sobo Style (Columbus, Ohio)
Green Velvet (Granville, Ohio)
Rose and Remington (Lebanon, Ohio)
Georgie Emerson Vintage (Canal Winchester)
I've also participated in many festivals and fairs such as Country Living Fair (Columbus, Ohio), Antebellum Farmhouse (Granville, Ohio), Old Worthington Market Day (Worthington, Ohio) and many more..

My brick-and-mortar studio is located in downtown Dayton, Ohio at the 2nd Street Market. You can find me at the far west end of the building next to the office and the Olive Tree on Thursdays (11-3), Fridays (11-3) and Saturdays (8-3).

Dont' forget to follow me on your preferred social network for trunk shows, new merchandise, and specials. I subscribe to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and journal my days in my studio at hedyrieglestudio.blogspot.com.

And, of course, you can visit my online shop on Etsy.

Let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you.
