Lovely card, raised quite a laugh (THANKFULLY !) Lots of personal touches, ie a thankyou card within the order, but best of all the envelope was wonderful. If Heidi does that for everyone, well done. I'll not spoil the surprise if you want to know, order a card :-)

Cards and prints by a children's illustrator from Cambridge
I'm Heidi, a British-Finnish freelance illustrator living in Cambridge, UK and currently studying for an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. I gained a BA (Hons) in Illustration at Kent Institute of Art & Design in 2007 and opened my Etsy shop shortly after. I used to work for Etsy as their UK Social Media & Blog Coordinator, and following that, a Small Business Development Consultant at Digibloom, helping small creative businesses (such as those selling on Etsy!) to start up.
I work using both digital & traditional methods of illustration, producing original art, altered journals, greeting card designs, book/magazine illustrations, custom gifts & hand-painted ceramics.
What makes me tick, and what makes me tock:
Drawing, found objects, hand drawn typography, eavesdropping, cartography, riding on trains in the rain, astronomy, festivals, folktales, Victorian literature, old Penguin book covers, Haiku writing.
Mint chocolate, burglars, things that reduce in size while increasing in price, ugly fonts, pigeons, public speaking, eating meat, not having tea.
My work has been featured in the lovely books "I Love Stationery" by Charlotte Rivers, & "1000 Handmade Greetings" by McFadden & Baskin. Also I've been featured on The Guardian website, in Guardian Observer newspaper, and the magazines Stylist, Easy Living, UK Handmade, Agenda, Mankind, and Underground Art School.
I've exhibited in London and Tokyo for Moleskine, and various other shows around the UK and USA.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders
Please send me a message to find out if I'm currently accepting commissions if you wish to request a custom/personalised piece. I enjoy making these, and working with you to create something special! It does depend on how busy I am at that particular time.
When will my item be posted?
I pack and post items as soon as possible, and aim to post within 5 business days maximum - usually within 1-3 business days and sometimes on the same day. All orders are posted First Class. I am currently not posting outside the UK.
If you have an urgent order request, please contact me prior to placing the order to check I am able to fulfil it to your requirements.
Please message me if you would like your order to be tracked at extra cost.
Please ensure you use the correct address prior to checkout. I often pack orders as soon as they come in & affix postage stamps, so a change of address can cause issues. Sometimes a little too efficient for my own good!
When can I expect to receive my order?
Please order well in advance if requiring something by a specific date. Royal Mail states delivery to Europe takes 3 to 5 business days & delivery to the rest of the world takes 5 to 7 business days.
From experience it usually takes around 5 - 14 business days to reach international destinations + time to cross that country, + the time it takes me to prepare/post your order. Please allow 1 month or more for orders to Canada.
Unfortunately I cannot guarantee your order will reach you by a specific date, as once posted - it's down to the mail carrier. Royal Mail lists international incidents here that may affect delivery: https://business.help.royalmail.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5317/~/international-incidents-update#USA
Shipping prices include the cost of necessary packaging & processing. A 10% discount has then been applied to my prices for items being sent by letter or large letter post. You're welcome :)
If you're ordering 2 different kinds of items e.g. an egg cup and an art print, these may need to be posted separately due to size and packaging format.
Sending your order directly as a gift
I'm happy to include a handwritten note with your order if you're having it sent directly to your recipient. Leave your message at checkout & please be clear that it is for someone else, and what their name is, and ensure the address is theirs (not yours).
Please note that selecting 'mark as gift' at checkout on Etsy simply means that no pricing info will be included inside the order. Etsy sellers and their customers are confused about this option as it implies something special/gift-wrapped/with card will be sent, which it doesn't (sorry!)
