This piece of art work is lovely! Even though the subject is not my own pet, it captures the playfulness of my pet. Wonderful work!

About

Welcome

Cats and other animals are what I love most, and come to me naturally as my subject matter. My whole life, I've enjoyed animal art; I was captivated by Louis Wain's anthropomorphic cat art and the Mainzer postcards as a child, and as I matured, Franz Marc became my favorite. Today, I'm proud to be carrying on the centuries-old tradition of cat and animal art in my own style.

A self-taught artist, I painted for many years while pursuing my archaeology career. Once I had small children at home, I had the crazy thought that perhaps I could sell my artwork on the internet; in 1999 that was a pretty far-fetched idea. I went ahead and built a website and amazingly, my paintings sold! Never went back... Over the years, I've added reproductions of my paintings in the form of small prints and notecards.

I am an oil painter focusing on cats, dogs and other creatures as my subject matter. Vivid color, soft shapes and humor are characteristics of my work. A full-time artist since 1999; my paintings have been collected all over the world.
