Announcement   I've been wielding a torch for eight years. I love the process of altering raw materials into refined and wearable pieces of art. I enjoy the contact between materials, tools, and hands.

I'm continually building my line and pushing my materials and designs farther.

If you see a design you like but would prefer it if something were altered a bit, don't hesitate to ask!

I don't know if there are words to express just how much I love these earrings! They have easily replaced my favorites. I will build my outfits around these malachite earrings. I love them. And Helena was a breeze to work with. She is kind and quick to respond to questions. Wonderful experience all around. I even got the girls at my piercing place interested in her work. :)

About

A Painter Discovers the 3 Diminutional

I fell in love with metalsmithing at University f the Arts. I went into college thinking I would be a painter/illustrator. As soon as I stepped foot in the metal shop, things began to change.

I love fabricating little sculptures by hand. Manipulating metal is a physical process and this keeps my body challenged while solving design problems keeps my mind engaged.

Now I love taking moments out of the day to make little wearable sculptures for Etsy customers.

I love fabricating little sculptures by hand. Jewelry is wearable art! I genuinely strive to make each piece a perfect, and complete, mini piece of art that you can take with you on the road anywhere!

Hi and thank you for visiting my online Etsy store. I have been making silver hand fabricated jewelry since 2001. I learned most of what I know at the University of the Arts. I have studied fabrication under Sharon Church and Lola Brooks, raising with David Pimentel, and enameling with Jamie Bennett and Judy Stone (with whom I still apprentice).

In my own work, I lean towards earrings for gauged ears. I particularly like creating solid pieces with the sort of structural integrity that only a thick ear "wire" can provide. These earrings for gauged ears are more like miniature sculpture to me than the traditional dangling earring. In these pieces, the ear "wire" does more than fulfill the function of attachment to body, the ear wire becomes part of the piece.
