Hello darling!

Thanks so much for visiting. We're Mel and Heidi. We're both from Australia but when we were living in London, UK, we found Etsy and became more and more interested in getting involved. We loved the idea of bringing back to life lovely vintage finds for people, like us, who would appreciate them, and so we opened our little shop.

Originally, most of our pieces came from London and other parts of England. When Heidi moved back to Australia in 2010 and Mel moved to France in 2012, the shop became rather international! Now, Mel is back in London and working on a new UK-curated-and-shipped collection.

The two of us are long-time fans of Oprah - we would study together during university and break in the afternoon to watch the show (and eat sweets.) We were living together with our boyfriends in a flat in London when The Oprah Winfrey Show ticket line opened up. We sat tight and called for what seemed like hours when we (finally) got through. We were offered four priceless tickets to the show. Like so many fans, we'd tried for tickets for over ten years, often in the middle of the night (seeing as we were on the other side of the world.) After going into a mild state of shock, we got stuck into planning our first-ever trip to the wonderful city of Chicago. We booked a segway tour and a table at Art Smith's restaurant, Table Fifty-Two. It was not long after Barack Obama had become President Elect, so it was an exciting time to be in the city. O-Day arrived and we couldn't believe it. To finally see our beloved Oprah, and experience a week in such a wonderful city, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us.

Thank you for visiting Hello Darling! Vintage. We aim to bring you lovely vintage finds from Australia and around the world.

We endeavour to photograph and describe the condition of each piece as accurately as possible so that you know what to expect. If we're unsure of an item's age or other details, we research it as best we can and pass on our findings to you in the item description.

Vintage pieces are often pre-loved, and, as such, may show some wear-and-tear consistent with their age and use.

Every item of clothing and footwear arrives to your door ready-to-wear. Unless otherwise stated:
- Every item of clothing is washed in delicate wool/silk wash;
- Pure woollen coats and silk ties are always professionally dry-cleaned;
- Leather shoes are gently cleaned with quality polish.

Your Satisfaction
Your satisfaction is our priority. We try our very best to ensure that you love your purchase.
Should you have any questions about your order, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Most packages arrive at their new home without any problems at all. However, if you experience any issues with your order, please contact us as soon as possible (within seven days of receiving your order) so that we can work it out.
We want you to love your purchase, but in the rare case that you change your mind, regrettably, we can not issue a refund.

For items damaged in the post
In the unlikely event that damage has occurred during transit, refunds will be issued.
Please make contact with us and send photographs of the damage within 24 hours after the parcel arrives. Australia Post requires photos of damage to process claims.

For items lost in the post
Unfortunately, we can not issue refunds for orders that have become lost in the post. We will, however, be happy to help by lodging a claim with Royal Mail / Australia Post and we promise to refund any compensation they provide to us.
Should a standard parcel be delayed or exceed delivery estimates, we must allow enough time for Australia Post to consider the parcel lost. The amount of time they advise depends on the country of destination, and after this time has passed, we will take the steps necessary to locate the parcel. In the meantime, we will do our best to help you locate the parcel.
Insurance and 'signed-for' post can be purchased at buyers request. Please convo us before placing your order to arrange this.

Undeliverable items
Should any orders be returned to me marked 'Undeliverable', unfortunately we can not cover the cost of re-delivery.
In this case we will contact you to arrange re-delivery. The buyer is responsible for the cost of additional postage.

Anything else?
We want you to love your order, but in the rare case that you change your mind, regrettably, we can not issue a refund.
Please simply convo us with any questions, whatsoever.

Please note, credit, debit and direct electronic/bank transfer is not immediate. Credit, debit and direct electronic/bank transfers can take one to two business days to clear. Your order will be dispatched when payment is cleared. Please keep this in mind for time-sensitive orders. Contact us with any questions.
Destinations & Carrier
Unless otherwise stated, we ship worldwide from Newcastle, Australia, using standard Australia Post for domestic orders, or standard Airmail for international orders. Please see listings for specifics.
Please note that standard shipping does not include insurance or tracking.

We package all items carefully in either padded postal bags or sturdy boxes.
Delicate items are wrapped in bubble-wrap for extra protection. In the spirit of recycling, wherever possible we reuse sturdy boxes and packing such as bubble-wrap or foam chips.

Shipping Cost
We charge only for the cost of packaging and shipping charged by Australia Post. We then convert this from AU dollars into US dollars using www.xe.com.

Tracking, Insurance and Confirmation
Unless otherwise stated, domestic and international orders ship via standard Australia Post and do not include tracking, insurance or delivery confirmation. This means that we can not locate a parcel while it is in transit.
Insurance and 'signed-for' post can be purchased at buyers request. Please convo us before placing your order to arrange this.

Multiple Items
We are happy to arrange shipping discounts for multiple items, please just ask.

We package carefully and post promptly. We usually dispatch within a couple of days of receiving your order. Normally, we take no longer than five working days to dispatch.
During busy shipping times (Christmas and New Year) or holiday times, parcels may take longer to dispatch. Thank you for your patience at these times. We will always let you know if there is a delay with dispatching your order.

Domestic orders usually take from one to three working days to arrive. International orders usually take five to ten working days to arrive. However, please allow plenty of time for international orders (between 1-4 weeks), as it can take some time.
Orders to the USA can be subject to increased security checks, so your patience is appreciated.
During busy shipping times (Christmas and New Year) or during times of extreme weather, parcels may take longer to arrive. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.

Urgent Orders
If you would like to receive your order ASAP then please convo us with your request. Every attempt will be made to get the item to you on time but express delivery may be necessary, which is also available for an extra fee.

International customers please note, custom fees and import taxes may be applicable and payable by the purchaser, depending on your location.
