Always searching for that perfect piece.

In Khmer, the language of Cambodia, Song Saa means "sweetheart."

You can look at my Etsy shop and see my personal journey over the last few years embodied in my items. From my bright and colorful beginnings to my more subdued, calm nature that I uncovered when I moved to Cambodia.

My husband-to-be and I live in Sihanoukville, a small beach town. To combat boredom when I was pregnant, I purchased a refurbished Janome sewing machine and loads of fabric from Orussey Market in Phnom Penh using broken Khmer.

My wonderful and beautiful older sister put aside a small corner of her Brooklyn apartment to store my products. This means I send her a big package with my finished products, and she ships them from New York. Not only will this save my customers (a lot) of money, but you can rest assure that your order will get to you in a timely manner.

Working in Cambodia can be challenging, since we don't have the same resources as many other countries. But this has pushed me to really get to know the bustling markets and define my style from what's available.

Don't hesitate to shoot me a message if you have any questions or would like a custom order. I look forward to speaking with you!

Hello! My name is Tavie. I studied Anthropology at university and had a day job in the nonprofit industry. I've been sewing since I was 8, and now do it full time while expecting our first nipper!

Lee is my other half who, on top of running a few businesses in our town, also runs around looking for stuff I need for the shop. He knows the Russian Market better than anyone, and he'll soon have the honored role of household diaper changer.

We ship on Monday and Wednesday. Please expect your item to arrive on your doorstep between five to 10 business days. You'll receive shipping confirmation via Etsy once your item has been dropped off at the post office.

Custom items and bulk orders are shipped via Cambodian EMS shipping which normally makes it to to the final destination in one week and starts at $30 per kilo (2.2 lbs) to the United States.

I understand that it can be worrying purchasing merchandise from a third world country, but I have never had anything lost in the mail. If you have any questions or concerns about shipping, please feel free to send me a convo. I'd love to hear from you!
Refunds and Exchanges
Convo me. I'm pretty easy to get along with, so I'll accept returns and exchanges on ready-made items within 2 weeks (14 days) from the date the item is received. Custom orders -- unless there is something blatantly wrong with it (blood-stained, crushed, stolen by marauders), I cannot take back.
Additional policies and FAQs
Everything in my shop is available wholesale. Please convo me for pricing list. Please note that shipping for wholesale and bulk orders begins at $25 to the United States.

Also, due to the nature of the Cambodian garment industry, I understand your ethical concerns about where my items are made. I guarantee that everything is made in my house and all materials purchased in-country are from local family-owned businesses and NGOs, or packed in my suitcase during my yearly trip home.

I'm currently rebooting my blog (, where you'll be able to keep up with my adventures living and working here.
