online vintage clothing boutique established in 1999

Hemlock Vintage is an online vintage clothing boutique established in December of 1999 by me, Julia. I started the shop selling my own collection and I have been collecting vintage clothing since I was a toddler. My dad regularly let me run loose in thrift stores, helping to develop my sense of style. For many years Hemlock was its own website and since then I have continued to sell on Etsy.

Hemlock Vintage Clothing offers a hand-selected collection of high-quality vintage clothing. Hemlock has been around for many many years, selling both online vintage and handmade items. Our clothing is inspected inside and out and refurbished. One of our favorite customers said it best, "Everything that I have received from you always exceeds my expectations. Your pictures and descriptions are the most well represented on the web as I have been to every vintage house possible, but the clothes are always true to description but so much more beautiful than I am expecting."

INTERNATIONAL: First Class International is the most affordable, but can take anywhere from a couple days to several weeks for delivery and is not trackable to all countries. Also offer Express International or Priority International.

Refunds and Exchanges
Due to our items being vintage, Etsy returns are reviewed on a case by case basis and returns under $200 are for store credit only, so ask questions before purchasing. No returns on 1900s/1920s delicate/fragile clothing. We are not responsible for the fit, vintage clothing may require adjustment/tailoring. Hemlock has been around for many years, we give accurate measurements, thoroughly check the clothing for issues and repair/clean the clothing. Please contact us and we are happy to help you with the fit, condition and provide additional photos.

All authorized returns incur a 10% restocking fee.

Try our clothing on with care. You will not receive a refund if an item is damaged or dirtied. Somethings that may damage the clothing while in your possession include make-up, deodorant, lotion, perfume, cigarette/cigar smoke, animals, food, etc...

In the case of return:

*We must be contacted within 24 hours of receipt to return an item.
*Items must be shipped back immediately within 2 days of receipt via Priority or Express. No parcel select or overseas ground.
*Items must be returned in the same condition they were sent: unworn, undamaged and carefully packaged. You will not receive a refund if an item has been worn or damaged.
*Returns are subject to an additional 10% stocking fee for clothing returned poorly (for example, wrinkled, covered in lint, shipped late, etc...).
*Ship USPS Priority Mail Insured to: Hemlock Vintage Clothing, PO BOX 65214, Baltimore, MD 21209. We can email you a return label to help you save on shipping costs back.

Shipping is nonrefundable. In the case of "free shipping" or shipping discounts, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.

You are responsible for your return and the package should be insured.

Unfortunately we cannot accept Fed Ex or UPS shipments at our PO Box.
Additional policies and FAQs
Vintage clothing is used clothing and may have basic wear. Any notable flaws will be listed in the condition report. Our clothing is thoroughly checked inside and out for issues and cleaned/repaired. In other words, our items are not sold in "as found" or "as-is" condition. Some items are not cleaned due to age or delicate fabrics and we leave this decision of cleaning up to the buyer.

Typically the outside measurements of the item laid flat, with the exception of an interior bust and waist measurement for items with linings or constructed of thick fabric.

In some cases, clothing has to be pinned to show the fit. Additional crinolines may be used to show the fullness of a skirt (this is typically noted in the description).
