Hemp Changed Our Lives!

back in 2010 when my wife Brittanny and I were still in the honeymoon phase of our "dating," I started to mysteriously experience heavy night sweating for well over a week which got me waking up constantly to peel off my soaking wet blanket. It was during the Winter season so after removing the blanket, the moment it dries up a little, I then had to wrap it back on since it would get cold again. This situation was incredibly frustrating because I was starting out my day incredibly tired due to the little continuous sleep I had and I was completely clueless about the cause.

I then researched online, consulted with friends & a doctor, and all the usual stuff but still didn't find any answer until one day when I went to visit my mom. How I had discovered what caused the intense sleep sweating was when I saw that she had the exact same $20 Polyester bedding set--Macy's had a big sale--that she had purchased for me around the time I began sweating. Being struck with the AHA moment, I asked her if she too was sweating in her sleep and ecstatically she responded, "OMG, how'd you know?!"

Then after some serious online Googling about Polyester and other synthetic fibers like Nylon, we found out several things that were obvious and others that felt true without substantial backing since our western health practices seems to be more focused on the surface stuff. Besides, not to be negative but self-health empowerment seems counter profitable for financially driven health industries if ya know what I mean.

Firstly, synthetic materials like the blanket that had gotten my mom and I sweating were not breathable. Even if they have holes, because of their unnatural nature, they hold on to a static charge that magnetically repels natural energy. Matter of fact, the polymers of these synthetic materials are molecularly the same as plastic and when you burn them, they'll melt just like plastic. Like the zombie prune-like finger effect that you get when removing a plastic band-aide from your finger, the same synthetic nylon/polyestor materials on the blanket would suffocate our body's skin, which is known to be our biggest organ with billions of breathing tiny pores. Obviously, instead of just the finger, it's our whole body that's being wrapped by these synthetic materials during our sleep which leads to all the heavy sweating & wasted energy to counteract the suffocation.

Further research led me to discover that a renown doctor by the name of Shafik Ahmed out of Cairo, Egypt had a suspicion about the adverse effects of Polyester around the 70's and seriously research the effects of it by wrapping them around the groin of a dog (like an underwear) and compared it to dogs that were wrapped with regular cotton. What he discovered is that the continuous wearing of Polyester had led the dog to a substantial decrease in sperm count whereas the dog wearing cotton didn't experience any decrease. In other experiments, he also discovered that men were losing hair when wearing polyester on the head (most hats nowadays are made of synthetic materials) compared to those wearing cotton. His findings actually reinforced the hunched that I had as a kid that baseball players were often bald due to their constant wearing of their baseball caps. He attributed the above negative effects of Polyester and its likes to the static nature of synthetic materials which creates a field of instability. This really resonated with me since I've been feeling the same about static through the things I've read and observed over the years, namely the Electromagnetic frequencies coming from our TVs, computers, phones. You can check out one of Dr. Ahmed Shafik's research paper that was admitted to the US natural library of medicine by copying and paste this link: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8279095.

Anyhow, despite these materials being seemingly solid, they're known to "off-gas" toxic chemicals that they're made of into our bodies. Hence we see those signs in new cars that often warns against the plastic materials (new car smell...kinda sad because who doesn't love that smell?!) that are proven to cause cancer. I would suspect its the same Nylon and Polyester materials that makes up the cheap clothing and bedding materials that's flooding the marketplace today.

Further and a bit on the conspiracy / esoteric side, as I had eluded to above, I sincerely believe that these synthetic materials are staticky and holds a magnetic charge / radiation that repels natural energy like oxygen/hydrogen keeping our blood from flowing harmoniously along its natural path. When this flow is out of whack, like any energy system's flow being out of whack, it makes sense to me that our energy too gets distorted. Again, I'm not going to prove that this is true scientifically nor will any research likely will do that since they're often mainstream & biased, but this situation certainly smells like a duck if you know what i mean.

Regardless if the above was legitimately assessed or not, it certainly makes sense to me that synthetic materials conflict with our body's natural energy in one way or another so we decided to replace my synthetic blanket with something natural to test and because we weren't able to find anything substantial, organic, and aesthetically pleasing (aesthetic is very important to my wife Brittanny since she was raised aesthetically inclined, pursued a degree in Art History along with being a successful celebrity assistant stylist for a while), she had decided to research to make me a natural blanket out of hemp, one of her favorite materials due to her fondness for the misunderstood nature of marijuana and hemp at the time. As expected, the change immediately stopped my sweating and more importantly, my frustration ended because I could now not only sleep again, but actually have slept better than ever!

After going with hemp as our fiber of choice for the blanket, we then were led onto many discoveries about the intriguing history that surrounds it which converted us to lifetime champions of this magical plant & commodity. Further, it got us to be more considerate of nature's health in general which included all humans, animals and the environment. With this newly developed sense of connection to all things natural, our passion for nature grew more and more over-time and we hope to continually expand the business' product line to allow us to promote nature at a grander level and help humanity overcome the currently unpopular unhealthy effects of synthetic fibers along with the beneficial effects of natural fibers. Fingers crossed to the goal of making natural living the standard again and we thank you all that have contributed towards this effort either by action or intentions. =)

My name is daniel and I was an accountant, restaurant partner, bitcoin broker, co-creator of The Hemp Cooperative & iLoveBAD Organics. Together with my now wife, Brittanny, we'd left our day jobs to sell the blankets that she had originally made for me along with the many other hemp things we've developed along the way. Just this past 2 years, we've focused entirely on the hemp business to support our living and so we're incredibly grateful for every single purchase from our conscientious customers that allows us to continue this journey and we hope you'll find the hemp supplies we've curated here at this Etsy Shop worthy of your imaginings & creation! Please come back frequently as we work to expand our beautiful hemp supply offerings to you.
