I would love this piece if it weren't for the fact that it's wobbly as hell. Assembly should have been a snap, but no matter how I arranged the different pieces there was always a hole just enough out of alignment that a screw or 2 would refuse to go in all of the way. As a result the table is not nearly as sturdy as I would like (maybe there's always going to be a bit of a wiggle side to side with this design?). Overall I'm more than a bit disappointed considering how nice the table looks. Very much wanted it to be perfect but for now it's a bummer. Maybe there's a trick to getting every screw in place that I'm missing? I had a similar problem with the nightstand but its smaller size makes the issue much easier to ignore.

I got two of these and they are perfect. They also were very well-packaged and shipped fast. Assembly was helped by the clear instructions and they came together in under 10 minutes each. I'm totally in love with them.

About

Herb's Furniture Co.

The Beginnings
---------------------
I started this concept in 2013 when I created my first piece of furniture that I needed to ship out of state. The quote was extremely high, so I decided to go back and rework the design. A few minor adjustments and the piece was packed flat, which reduced the shipping costs by 500%. I immediately saw how this price difference was affecting prices of handmade goods and the barriers local craftsmen created for themselves vs the large retailers. I decided to make it my mission to create handmade flat packed furniture that competes with large retailers both price and design quality.

Baltimore Born
--------------------
Located in the former Crown Cork and Seal Factory in Baltimore, MD, I have a small batch manufacturing facility where I produce all of the furniture.

About Me
-------------
I have an engineering mind with a Finance degree; which means I focus on the fine details of the design and bring that to you for the lowest possible cost.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Herb’s Different?

-Ease of Assembly
Unlike large retailers (we won’t name names), we create products that are easily assembled in under 10 minutes
-∞ Assembly
Moving and need to break down your product? Easily break down and reassemble your product with our threaded bolt system.
-Solid hardwood
Many competitors use veners or stained wood that will not stand the test of time. We use locally sourced hardwood finished with industrial grade lacquer to enrich the grain and protect the surface for years to come.
-Durable Metal Legs
In-house fabricated steel legs are then finished with wax to protect the raw steel or Powder Coated by a local expert.
What does Flat Packed mean?

What does Flat Packed mean?

Flat Packed furniture arrives to you disassembled to lower shipping costs. Assembly is quick and easy, should take you around 5 minutes

What are the benefits of flat packing furniture?

Shipping Efficiency
Shipping costs are dramatically decreased, and we pass these savings to you by shipping all orders for free.
No Freight Hassle
Freight shipping requires someone to be at home, and someone to move this giant crate into your house. Once the furniture is in, you have to take this giant crate to the local landfill, which requires you to ask your uncle to borrow his pick-up. But you didn’t go to his cook out and you feel awkward asking him… I think you know where I’m going with this. Make life easy on yourself and stick to ground shipping, where you can track the shipments and know when they are arriving.

What tools are needed?

No additional tools required. All you need to assemble is an Allen key, which is included in the package.

Do you accept custom orders?

We do small batch production work, and custom orders are subject to additional fees to change the process we have perfected. Slight changes will be granted, but please contact me directly through the contact link if anything is more specific to your needs.
