About

Spinning, Weaving and Felting fibers for fiber artists

The shop was created in 2010 as a means to share my handmade creations with others. I love to spin fiber into yarn and explore different types of fibers. We are a coop of my alpaca blended fibers, raw fleeces and handknit items along with fleeces and rovings from Ancient Treasures Alpaca Ranch in Arvada, CO.

Alpacas are such wonderfully sweet and calm creatures and I have the pleasure to spend several Sundays a month around them. Ranch visits have yielded wonderful wool and alpaca fleeces to my fiber stash which I try to pass onto others.

Quality of fibers and design are very important to me. I only list items that I feel are of good quality for the handspinner and fiber artist in the community.

We love corresponding with our international clients and shipping fiber around the globe.

I am a fiber addict and love both plant and animal fibers. Handspinning is my passion and I look forward to sharing the alpaca blends and fleeces that I have discovered during my journeys around Colorado with others.

Welcome to our shop which is a combination of items I have handcrafted and supplies from Ancient Treasures Alpaca Ranch (ATAR for short).

I am a handspinner who has been spinning for about 4 years and knitting for 5 years. I love to make shawls, scarves and gloves of a laceweight quality. Recently started experimenting with knitting hats and fingerless mittens/gloves too. My home is smoke free but houses 2 adorable cats (allergen allert).

We also have yarns and shawls from ATAR which is located in Arvada, CO. Cheryl Keydel is the owner and has had several of her huacaya fleeces converted to rovings, yarns and shawls. The fibers used are in their natural colors and are very soft to the touch. Her ranch also contains a few Llamas with the first baby born in the fall of 2010.

Thank you for looking at our shop today.
