About

I love vintage, and I love being creative, but you just can't keep it all!

I originally started making jewelry because a family friend gave me boxes and boxes of vintage beads, cabochons, and findings. I'm talking BIG boxes of beads and findings that he had come across in a storage unit he purchased. It seems that God has given me a mind that just never stops inventing, so just doing beads on a string is not me at all. I began combining vintage do-dads, such as buttons, toys, tokens, game pieces, etc. that I had collected over the years with the stash I had been given by my friend, to create unique pieces of altered art jewelry.
I run out of time, but never out of ideas. If I could, I would be in my "craft cave" creating new things all day. What works for me is to just surround myself with lots of things, new and old, and then I start getting inspired. It gives me great pleasure when someone purchases a one-of-a -kind jewelry piece from my shop. I feel like they "get it". Jewelry can be fun, and an expression of our uniqueness.
The other things I enjoy are vintage, antiques, and old books. I find things that are just so wonderful while poking around at sales and shops, and they need to be given a new place to live. Problem is, you just can't keep it all! ETSY has given me a wonderful outlet for my creativity, and a way to share what is special to me with someone else.
Hope you enjoy perusing Heritage Handcrafts! :)

Each unique piece of jewelry is handmade, and designed by me; a one of a kind treasure. I like each creation to be a little work of art you won't find anywhere else. I enjoy trying out new ideas and developing the techniques to create these ideas.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Purchases made in this shop may be transacted through PayPal or Direct Check-out using your credit card. I am also now accepting Etsy gift cards.
Shipping
I usually ship USPS first class parcel, and also Priority Mail UPON REQUEST. If I decide an item needs the extra care, or it is more cost effective to ship in a priority flat rate shipping box, the description will state that the item is being shipped USPS priority, and the shipping cost will reflect the charges. Convo me before purchasing if you require Priority Mail or insurance as there will be a difference in the total due to the higher cost of shipping. Books will be shipped media mail.
I will get your item in the mail within 1-3 days of receiving payment. Occasionally an extra day is required due to postal holidays.
The customer assumes all extra costs on international shipping, such as any customs or duty charges. I will not be responsible for any missing or damaged merchandise on international shipping.
Refunds and Exchanges
I make my best effort to insure each item sold is something I myself would be pleased to receive and proud to use. I use vintage and used components in much of my jewelry, so consider that some of these parts are used and not in perfect condition. Most vintage items are sold as is, in their original vintage condition. If a vintage item has been cleaned or repaired this will be disclosed in the item description. I do make an extra effort to clearly disclose the condition of vintage items in all descriptions and photos, so read carefully. If you are not satified with your handmade or vintage purchase please let me know within 10 days of receiving your purchase and I will gladly refund your money upon the return of the item. You will need to pay for the return shipping. I'm sorry, but I cannot be responsible for items damaged in shipping, so if you would like insurance on your shipment, please let me know before you make a purchase. Thank you!
Additional policies and FAQs
Jewelry pieces will come in a gift box. Every effort will be made to insure items are carefully packaged and protected for shipping. When possible I use recycled packaging and shipping supplies.
All items are stored in and ship from a smoke-free home.
