Thank you for perusing Peggy Skemp Jewelry, handcrafted sculptural scientific illustrations in recycled gold and silver with unusual ethical gemstones. Peggy began making jewelry in 2002. Her work is made with love by traditional techniques; hand-engraving, stone-setting, fabrication, glass enameling, casting, weaving and twining. The gold and silver used to craft these intricate works are recycled, nickel-free, and have been assayed for purity. The gemstones are thoughtfully selected from ethical suppliers. All works are meticulously made by hand, hand-finished, stamped with the makers marks PS and a mark indicating what metal the piece was made from. If the description calls an item "Silver" it is solid 925 silver, not a silver-toned base metal. If the description indicates gold, it will also indicate its karat, and this means the metal is solid gold. Jewelry can be made in 925 silver, 725 carnation pink silver, 14, 18 or 22 karat white, yellow, rose or green gold by custom order. If a metal has been plated, the description will tell you the base metal and what it was plated with, and it will be stamped with the base metal, not the plated metal. For example, vermeil gold plated silver jewelry will be stamped 925 to indicate the base metal is solid silver. We now offer in-house plating and hand-engraving, or machine-engraving services, as well as custom bridal design. Please send a convo or email Peggy through her website to arrange any of these services.
Thank you again for admiring Peggy’s designs- we hope to see you at our next trunk show or Art Fair. You can also find Peggy's latest jewelry at the following fine retailers: Goldbug, Pasadena, CA; Florodora, Chicago; Evolution, NYC; December Thieves, Boston; and Satori Arts, La Crosse, WI.
Custom orders and express shipping are available upon request. Don't hesitate to send a conversation or an email with any questions or special requests. 5 out of 5 starsVery detailed, sturdy and well made locket. Matches with the description. This was the item that first introduced me to Etsy many years ago and I'm very happy to finally be able to own one! Great craftmanship. Shipping took a bit longer than expected, but Peggy was very helpful and reassuring throughout the whole process and the locket arrived in perfect condition. Recommend!

5 out of 5 starsPerfectly beautiful. I love how subtle it is, especially because of personal symbolism with the heart. It's exactly what I wanted.

5 out of 5 starsThe necklace is more beautiful in person than is depicted in the photos! It is so interesting and unique, a very beautiful and creative portrayal of the nerve cell. I love it and will treasure it always.
