About

Bold, dramatic jewelry is my goal.

I guess I have always been an artist, even when I wasn't actively doing art. My artistic skills have taken me from interior design to garden design and now into jewelry design. The same skills of proportion, balance, texture and scale I find are easily translated from one artistic venture to another.

In my studio I create intuitively from what I have made in mixed metals, to items I have on hand which might be scavenged, recycled, purchased, altered, etc. In other words, I rarely design and create a piece of jewelry from a drawing although I do draw and sketch ideas -- then they take on a persona of their own.

Currently, in addition to Etsy, I sell my work primarily at Midwest juried art fairs and local gift shoppes. My art fair schedule is published on my facebook page and website, as well as photos of current work that have not made it to Etsy yet. Like me on facebook and you will receive photos of "hot off the bench" work that may or may not make it to Etsy.

Recently published in Belle Armoire Jewelry, Summer 2013, pg. 50 Statement Necklaces article; I will again appear in Belle Armoire Jewelry, Summer 2014 with an article entitled Copper Drama. Check it out -- on the newsstand June 1st.

I began my jewelry career in 2004 after working as an interior designer for a few years. I love creating bold, dramatic jewelry out of materials at hand which might include handmade mixed metal, vintage and repurposed items, stones, pearls, etc. Since my designs are unique, I generally cannot resize, although you can inquire about it.
