-Who am I?
Hi, I’m Gabby. I am a prop master, creature creator, crazy night owl, nerdy mom and a wife of an amazing and supportive husband. My passion is creating just about anything.... except edible food (seriously, it’s scary!) tho I can make food props like a champ! I often get lost in learning and experimenting with mediums and materials. I love finding unconventional ways to breath life into my projects. When an idea comes to me I can’t wait to make it.


-Why did I start my shop?
I have always enjoyed making things for others. I started this shop to explore and share that passion with others while I continued working (my “adult” job) as a multimedia director at an e-learning company.

Well, that was the plan. But the universe had other ideas. Life, very boldly, decided that it was time for me to head down a different path.

My friends and family talked me into going far beyond my comfort zone, and I applied for Syfy’s Faceoff... and I got on! I put my shop on vacation, and attempted to request a 3 month leave at the company I had been with for 8 years .... and was let go instead.

Looking back, as scary as that time was, the “failures” were exactly what I needed. I learned so much about myself. Before I could focus on coming back to my shop that I missed so dearly, I had to get a “job”. I took the opportunity to listen to the universe and started my career over from scratch and went into film… in Ohio.

It has been a lot of work and I have loved every minute of it! As my new career was stabilizing, I started preparing to come back to my shop and my little creative world. Oh wait, not yet! A small mis-diagnosed medication sent me to the ER with a pulmonary embolism and a long and scary 1.5 year recovery. Ah life right?

Good thing I don’t know how to give up! And even though it’s taken me much longer to get back to my shop, I’m here! I am still so amazed that people around the country and world are wearing, using, or watching something I’ve made. I am so grateful to each and every person who purchases or favorites my items.



-What inspires you?
I have always been shy, a world watcher; Imagining fantastical histories for everyday objects. I love getting lost in stories, music, architecture and shadows. The shy part of me has always been hesitant to broadcast loudly the personal things that I was interested in at the time and has been an important component within my creations. They allow me to express myself in a more subtle way, having things that can been worn or kept near me that remind me of the worlds I so dearly love being lost within. These small tokens are able to bring to life the realms I love without being a walking advertisement. My ‘hidden’ items gave me comfort and on occasion strength. I want others to have that too.. To have a beautiful piece of their own hidden realm with them whenever it's needed.
