About

Felt Felt

Welcome to my shop!

I opened my Etsy shop in the fall of 2007. I learned needlefelting as part of the work on my second stop-motion music video for They Might Be Giants. That was just after I moved to Vancouver, Canada from Brooklyn, New York, with my family.

I work alone in a very small, but bright, home-studio, which is, of course, much messier than it looks in the photos above. All my handmade artwork, and even my stop-motion videos, are born in this tiny room.

I really love materials, like felt, wool, yarn and patterned fabrics & papers.

When I am not making new items for my shop, I am usually working on felt sculptures for exhibitions, or illustrations, or stop-motion videos.

I hope my work can make people smile!
