The dragons are definitely cute but quite small. The price seems high for the actual product.

I'm sad and sorry to hear you were unsatisfied. Please convo me. I'm happy to accept a return on unused art. To future shoppers: measurements are given on each listing, I can't make the size clearer. Also, it's just me who designs, cuts, glues, and folds each piece. I also pack and ship, do all the buying, marketing, customer service, bookkeeping, etc. Like any business, the asking price must also take the hidden work and costs into account. My prices are actually so low for the time and attention that go into each order, but I've always felt it important to make art that's affordable for normal folks. One big difference between buying on Etsy vs buying factory items at a big box store is no individual maker can come close in price on similar items. Not without cutting corners in quality. And I won't.

I’ve purchased these before and liked them so much that I bought them to decorate my cubicle at work. I’ve gotten several compliments on them. If I could make one change it would be to make them bigger. The smallest one is just about the size of my pinky finger. Since they’re supposed to be decorating a wall it looks a little strange to have such tiny dragons. So they work better decorating a small area like a desk

About

Bringing the Outdoors in

Hello! I'm a country girl tom boy who grew up climbing trees, playing in creeks, catching frogs and searching beneath rocks for signs of life. When I moved to Philadelphia as an adult, I found the city stimulating in so many ways, but also lacking in the type of life and beauty I grew up around.

I began making paper butterflies for myself as a way to reconnect with nature in my urban surroundings. I fashioned my living space into a cathedral of nature with all the winged creatures I imagined might've once occupied that space of land on a warm summer afternoon hundreds of years ago. Even though the butterflies were only paper, they were important reminders of what was lost, reminders to cherish and protect our Mother Earth. And so they restored a bit of that missing beauty.

In late 2010, I began Hip + Clavicle so that I could give that gift to others. Because it's so very important to surround ourselves and our loved ones, especially our littlest ones, with reminders of how beautiful and amazing this world can be.

Over time my shop offerings have expanded. For example, I make dragons now because I love to dream beyond the limitations of this world! But the core principle is the same, to be inspired by and to cherish this amazing place where we all live. And to make it just a bit prettier. :)

If you'd like some beautiful nature prints to accompany your 3d wall art, please check out my photography shop on Etsy here:

Returns and exchanges
Most online shopping is impersonal at best and risky at worst. I operate a one-woman business and it is my art, my craft & my passion. As such, I am not satisfied unless you are completely satisfied and in love with the work and the service you receive. :)

If any item arrives damaged, does not match what you ordered, or the quality does not meet your expectations, do not hesitate to contact me and describe the issue. I will be happy to offer a replacement or refund.

Requests for returns must be made within a reasonable timeframe (within 90 days of purchase).

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: If your order has not arrived within 7 weeks of your date of purchase, it will be considered lost and I will be happy to replace it at that time.
Payment
•I accept payment via credit card and PayPal. I always ship to the address on your Etsy profile. Please make sure this address is current & contact me if you need the order shipped to an alternate address.

•All butterflies & other paper art creatures are made to order. I reserve 2 weeks to create each order.

•Please check your mailing address on your invoice! If you provide an incorrect mailing address, I will have to re-bill you for the shipping to send out a second order.
Shipping
•I ship via USPS, First Class (US customers may also elect to upgrade to Priority shipping).

•US CUSTOMERS: First class shipments usually arrive within a week of shipment, occasionally it can take two weeks. All orders include tracking/delivery confirmation. Please contact me before purchase if an upgrade to Priority or Express is needed. That is a shipping upgrade only. I need to know the exact date you need the order by if the PRODUCTION of your order must also be rushed.

•INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Most international orders arrive 2-4 WEEKS after shipment (even to Canada/Mexico). During holidays or random inspections, a package held in customs can take up to 6 WEEKS to arrive. I reserve 1 WEEK for making your order prior to shipment. Thus if you need your order sooner than 7 WEEKS after the date of purchase, please contact me for a service upgrade prior to purchase. There is no tracking available for international orders unless service is upgraded. *BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL VAT/DUTIES/CUSTOMS CHARGES INCURRED*
Additional policies and FAQs
Answers to some commonly (and uncommonly) asked questions:

•Can I check out with PayPal even if I don't have an account?

Yep! Choose the PayPal option during checkout. After you submit your order, click the "Pay Now" button. Scroll down and you will see the option to pay with a Credit or Debit Card WITHOUT having to sign up for a PayPal account.

•I changed my mind. Can I cancel my order?

Definitely! Just send me a message anytime prior to shipment of your order and I will be happy to cancel it and refund you in full.

•Can you coat the butterflies with something to make them shiny or waterproof?

The short answer is no. All of my paper contains sizing (a glue) that, when moistened, causes the paper to warp in a way that compromises the final quality.

•How do I order different colors than what you've shown in (x) set?

During checkout, use the "message to seller" text box to let me know how many butterflies you want in each color. Or, send me a message if you have already completed checkout.

•Can you accept a mailed check or take my credit card number over the phone?
I only accept payments online via Etsy checkout and PayPal. This keeps us both safe and accountable.
