Honestly, Heather's aprons rate 10 stars out of 5...they're seriously that amazing!! Perfect communication, incredibly fast delivery, excellent craftmanship...for all these reasons - and more! - these are the only aprons I wear at my kombucha brewery!

As a kombucha brewer, I simply couldn't do without Heather's aprons! The pattern is amazing - deep pockets (for all those things I need at Farmer's Markets...smartphone, credit card reader, business cards...), incredibly flattering, no matter what I'm wearing under it - and truly the best workmanship of any article of clothing I own! Folks in the small town where my brewery is located have started coming in to my shop just to see what my "next season" apron looks like...and my 16-year old apprentice just made off with my spring apron...they're really that good! Thanks, Heather! PS - I need another Spring Apron!! :D

About

Beauty from Ashes: How a Rescued Reject Became Hip Chick Aprons

Years ago I uncovered a real treasure in a moving box on the side of the road--rejects from an estate sale awaiting the garbage truck. Yes, that's right, I was digging in the trash. I couldn't help it! Moving boxes on the side of the road, I HAD to know what was in them. Well, lots of stuff was in them--including a fabulous 1930's apron that probably belonged to someone's sweet old grandma. It was adorable and cuter than I thought an apron could be and it kicked around in my kitchen (after a good wash!) until 2006 when a girlfriend and I decided we wanted to be in a craft fair.We copied the pattern and made 25 aprons in five different fabrics--and sold out. I remember stopping and thinking, "Wait a minute. Did we just start a business?" And Viola! Hip Chick Aprons was born. It seems stylish, cute women wanted stylish, flattering aprons that (gasp!) actually kept their clothes clean. Grandma might have been on to something. Hundreds of original aprons later, we have added some really cute half aprons, little wallets, oven mitts and potholders--all in coordinating designer fabrics, of course. So, a big THANK YOU to Mr. Let's-Just-Put-All-These-Boxes-on-the-Curb-and-Get-Rid-of-Them. I really appreciate it!
