Original Abstract Oil Paintings of Hiroshi Matsumoto
I love oil paint, it's texture, viscosity, slow-drying time and smell. I paint abstract. I never know what it is going to be until it's complete. When I start to paint, I always put some colours on the canvas without thinking. My choice of colours is often accidental or intuitive. I try to catch the chance meeting of colour with composition. Sometimes I get lost, and then other times I find myself walking along a path that brings me back to where I belong. Abstract is for me a concrete way to share an inner sense, place and time with you directly and deeply.

5 out of 5 starsHiroshi's art is simply magical. I have the privilege to own multiple paintings by him and I've been a long-time fan of his art. His paintings are just incredibly detailed and delicate. Not a single day goes by without me looking at his beautiful paintings and feeling inspired & grateful that I “discovered" Hiroshi’s art back in the day. The paintings I own are rather small (9x9) but the colors are so impactful and really elevate the room. When I look at his paintings I really FEEL. His art always touches me on an emotional level that I truly haven’t felt with any other artist. We've moved a lot in the past (and still do ;-) but we always make sure that Hiroshi 's art comes along. His paintings make us feel at home wherever we are in the world. Thank you, Hiroshi!! You have no idea how much your paintings mean to us!
