Please enjoy my nature and beach inspired jewelry. I love the beauty of seashells, the coolness of sand and the weightless feel of smooth driftwood; as well as simple nature forms.

Silver, copper, brass findings and charms-- some wire wrapped, collected seashells, vintage buttons and postage stamps, gemstones and hand designed stained glass pendants are all components used in my jewelry.

Please explore with a free spirit and outdoor fun in mind!!

About

Enjoy creating and designing nature inspired jewelry.

Both of my grandmothers were quilters, so from a very young age, I was interested in handmade, upcycled designs and colors of materials. Beside coloring books, the earliest craft projects I enjoyed was making paperdolls, and barbie doll clothes from my mother's left over scraps. I was the oldest of 3 daughters, so I had to entertain myself most of the time.

I have been working with stained glass for over 35 years, and decided while using beads with my stained glass 5-pointed stars, I would start designing jewelry using nature inspired components and wire wrapping. I lived on the Gulf Coast for some time, and collected whatever I fancied to be interesting or of color from the beach.

I want to renew my use of stained glass in jewelry, and am especially interested in stained glass mosaics in miniature for designing pendants or brooches/pins. Also I have collected, through working in a research lab, many vintage foreign postage stamps, with which I am experimenting using glass, copper foil tape and soldering for making pendants. I especially enjoy working with copper, silver, leather and semi-precious gemstones.

I have even somewhat experimented in painting with watercolors. I truly love color combinations. Miniature works of art interest me in designing jewelry also. There are many art forms I have yet to try, now just to create what I have designed will be my biggest accomplishment yet. I am sure you have heard, finish what you have started before you endeavor some new project. Good Luck to all who must feel the same way.

Have always worked artistically in some way, especially in stained glass. I am now a self taught nature inspired jewelry designer. Collage is a favorite medium of mine, I use seashells and nature's components in the jewelry making process.
