Items at Hobbs Ceramics are crafted with the utmost care and attention and you, the user in mind. If for whatever reason you feel you are unhappy with a purchase or shipment, then please contact us.


Although every effort goes into ensuring that all items are packaged tightly and securely breakages or losses can occur. If an item has arrived damaged or broken please contact within 7 working days for a full refund with images of the breakage within the packaging.

International Orders:

Unfortunately International Orders cannot be exchanged, they may be returned but the buyer must pay the return shipping to the UK and goods must be received in pristine condition

Custom Orders:

Unfortunately custom orders and bespoke pieces cannot be refunded due to the cost of materials and time which are placed and planned into customised work, Please contact us directly within 2 working days of purchase to cancel any customised work.
All major credit and debit cards are accepted along with paypal, Payment must be received prior to all custom works being started and all custom work is to be dispatched within 5 weeks of purchase.
UK Delivery:

Hobbs Ceramics aims to ship items within 1 day of orders being placed with delivery to the UK Mainland within 7 days,

International Delivery:

We distribute using Parcelforce worldwide and all parcels should be received within 21 days, if duties or taxes are payable within your country you are liable for these fees.

Custom Orders:

Custom and Bespoke Works generally take 4-5 weeks from design to product. Extra time may be needed during peak trading periods such as Christmas, The 5 week time frame is an estimate only and dispatch time will be on top of this.

How do Custom Orders Work?

The Listing should have an image of what the custom work may look like, Please use this as a guide to decide and contact for any further information on select custom items. We will send images of a design once purchased to give you an idea of what will be on the base of the final piece and work to get it the way you want it. Once approved we aim to finish the piece within 5 weeks.

How long to Custom Orders Take?

Depending on the piece 1-5 weeks is the usual due to drying and firing times. It takes a minimal amount of time to produce a mug yet it usually takes 1-2 weeks to dry and a total firing time of around 30 hours across two firings!

What Can I put on a Custom Order?

We use a standard typeset to imprint into the base of pieces requiring customisation, small messages are able to be imprinted depending on the size of the piece. We recommend 8 to 12 letters as a standard.

I haven't received my Purchase?

Please get in touch if your item hasn't arrived, We send everything via Royal Mail 2nd Class which takes around 3-5 days to the UK Mainland.

I live in the US But would like to ship to a UK Address, is this possible?

Yes of course, send us a message and we can arrange a custom listing for you to enjoy free of charge delivery to a UK mainland address.

The Colour is a different Shade?

All items are handmade and glazes vary greatly, if purchasing a listed piece it will be exactly as shown in the images of the listing, if purchasing a custom order colours will vary slightly due to the heat work of the kiln.
