About

Holly Anne Blake's story

“Even as a child, paper was magical to me.
I knew these blank sheets, combined with a spark of imagination, had the power to capture everything I loved about the world.”

As the daughter of a Hollywood model maker, Holly Anne Blake was born with creativity in her blood.

Beginning her career in London, UK, she cut her teeth in the Art Department on movie franchises like James Bond and Harry Potter.

During a Degree in Illustration at the University of Brighton she began to fall in love with paper as her ideal medium, collaborating with The Maccabees to bring paper art into their first ever music video.

For Holly, paper was a versatile, intricate and impactful medium, and soon she was committing thousands of hours to this painstaking – and truly remarkable – form of art.

But, like any artist, her path didn’t always run smoothly.

Somewhere along the way she got stuck. Stuck in an uninspiring job. Stuck with a crippling mortgage. Stuck in a six year relationship with a boyfriend who didn’t believe in her.

So what does a paper artist do in this situation?

Rip it up.
Rearrange the pieces.
Create something beautiful.

So one morning she left it all behind, boarding a one-way flight to Bali in pursuit of her true calling as an artist.

Travelling ever since, she uses remarkable destinations as inspiration for her works.

Living and working between London and the far east, Holly has captured a sense of true romance in her work. From statement prints to unique wedding stationary, every piece contains a feeling of freedom, of beauty, of life’s true adventure, all created by hand from a myriad of individual paper pieces.

Whether at your wedding or in your home Holly hopes these qualities greet you every time you see her work.

“I’m a dreamer. A romantic. I want to capture places that mean the most to people around the world, not just visually, but with that feeling you’ll never forget.”

Frequently asked questions
How many invitations do I need to order?

When placing an order for wedding stationery items think carefully when working out how many you need. The number of guests you are inviting is normally more than the number of invites required since many of your guests will likely be part of couples or families. So, if you're inviting 150 guests you may only need around 70 - 75 invitations. We recommend ordering several spares just in case you find you need a few more than you first thought - it's more cost effective for you to order more than you think you need in the first instance than to have to place an additional order for a smaller quantity. Quantities come in 25/50/75 as standard but if you need a different amount then get in touch for a quote and a custom listing can be created.

Are envelopes included in wedding stationery orders?

Yes. White envelopes in the corresponding size are included as standard when you order invitations, save the dates and other mailable stationery items.

If you would like to order kraft, metallic or coloured envelopes instead of white then please get in touch and a custom listing will be created for you to purchase which includes a small additional charge for your chosen envelopes. Charges are as follows:

Kraft (brown) envelopes = £5 additional charge

Metallic finish envelopes = £10 additional charge
GOLD/SILVER/PEARLESCENT WHITE

Coloured envelopes = £20 additional charge
PASTEL YELLOW, PASTEL PINK, PASTEL BLUE, PASTEL GREEN

Can I change the wording on the item I'm buying?

Yes :)

If you're purchasing wedding stationery then all the text is customisable. You'll want to make sure that your names, wedding venue, date and other personal info are included, it's also possible to change the words that link this personal information together. For example, on all the invitation listings you'll notice the sentence 'You're invited to celebrate the wedding of' but if you want to change this to something different e.g. 'Your presence is requested at the marriage of' then that's totally fine! You'll be able to add all your wording in the 'notes to seller' at the time or purchase or you can include it in a separate message if that's easier.

An additional charge of £10 is payable for changes/additions to poster wording.

How much is the postage?

Postage to the UK is FREE :)

Items are sent by courier and you'll be messaged with a delivery date once your order has been despatched.

If you live outside of the UK then the postage and packing is charged at £14.55. There is a further £1.00 charge for each additional item purchased in a single transaction.

International items are sent by Royal Mail using their tracked and signed service which means that your item will be tracked from despatch to delivery and a signature will be required on arrival. Royal Mail aims to deliver items within Europe in between 3-5 days and to the rest of the world in 5-7 days but delivery times are not guaranteed.

International couriers can be arranged for an extra charge.

My item is damaged/hasn't arrived, what shall I do?

All items are packaged as securely as possible in cardboard and bubble wrap to avoid damage. But, if your item arrives damaged then please contact me by sending a message and attaching photographic evidence of the damage. Where photographic evidence is provided replacement items will be sent out to you as quickly as possible free of charge.

If your item has not arrived and you have a tracking number then please use that number to track the status of your item in the first instance. If this highlights that there is a problem (or your tacking number doesn't work/wasn't provided) then please contact me so that I can make further enquiries and attempt to resolve the issue. If necessary, replacement items will be sent to you without charge.
