As this story begins, my husband took a job in Columbia, Maryland and I was not a happy camper, to say the least. So we bought a house in Marriottsville, Maryland and I set out feeling my way around the area. What I found was an area of the country that offered a wide variety of things to keep me entertained and I enjoyed myself very much.

Of all the little cities I visited, I found this quaint little Counted Cross Stitch Shop in Ellicott City and when I stepped inside, I discovered I was at home. The owner was a charming lady from the United Kingdom and she taught me how to do counted cross stitch without a hoop. Because of this, I was able to cross stitch quicker and of course I was buying more patterns. So to make a long story short, I was paying all kinds of money to have my cross stitch pieces framed.

When my husband's company went out of business, we returned home and I decided to go to school to learn how to be a picture framer. I learned all kinds of things from that class but the first thing I learned was, the cost to have a store front business. So my husband helped me to learn how to make my frames and now I make frames for other cross stitchers.

After being on the craft show circuit for over 12 years, I made my way to the internet and a few years later, I found Etsy.
