Upcycled, Repurposed and Vintage Textiles

Our handmade textile work has been created with fabrics resourced from local, now forgotten, textile mills and drapery shops surrounding Alamance County. For those unfamiliar, Alamance County is nestled right in the center of North Carolina - which, if you remember from your history books, has been producing high-quality textiles since 1813.

Over time, and with the growth of technology, textile factories in North Carolina have become almost obsolete. Unfortunately, current textile production has been sourced to other countries - which has begun to damage the American economy. The once BOOMING, multi-million dollar industry that kept the American south flourishing has begun to dissolve. It has now become a responsibility of the people to keep the industry alive.

We, at HOME.SEWN, believe that it is our duty to produce luxurious and long-lasting products using the reclaimed, high-quality resources of our past. We have no doubt that, through dedication and persistence, consumers (just like you) can create a need and begin to revive the textile industry of the American south.
