Welcome to Homespun Heart Primitives
I am surrounded with history living here in the Hudson Valley
of New York state. Everywhere I turn there is always
something to inspire me and feed my creative side.
I’m especially drawn to the 18th and 19th centuries, it’s these
“simpler” tymes” of our history that feed my artistic soul and
help me with my creations.
My creative soul began its journey back in 1989 when I would participate in local shows. From this humble beginning I started my “Homespun Heart” pattern line in 2003, which has since grown and become very successful. I always get a kick out of visiting shops and shows and see my designs being created and sold by others….it gives me a sense of pride.
It wasn’t until 2005 that I began my journey of working with
clay and other forms of this medium. I design my own molds
for my characters and creations. I love watching them
come to life whether it be in beeswax, chalkware or soap.
All my creations sprout from that “simpler tyme” in our history
that I have grown to love so much. “Homespun Heart”
offers “one of a kind” clay pieces to collectors and to those
who just love “simple”, these pieces will come signed and dated
